  • Publication number: 20040137410
Abstract: The invention is an assembly that connects prosthetic teeth to dental models. The assembly forms a two part analog pin that snaps into a sleeve. Also disclosed are kits for installing the assembly, dental models that contain the assembly, and methods for making dental models that contain the assembly. The assembly expedites the connection and separation of prosthetic teeth to and from dental modes and can be employed with dry set dowel pins.

  • Patent number: 5934906
Abstract: A method of producing a working model for preparation of a clinical crown for attachment to an implant fixture in the mouth of a patient is described in which a laboratory analog, on which the crown is mounted during preparation, is formed as an assembly including a fixed sleeve and a detachable pin and wherein the crown-receiving portion of the pin element of the assembly replicates the crown-receiving portion of the implant fixture. The analog sleeve is fixedly mounted in a base segment of the model so that the analog pin bearing a crown to be prepared threadedly connected thereto can be removed from and returned to mounted installation in the model by simple sliding movement between the pin and sleeve. Also described is the resultant working model construction and the particular analog elements which also form parts of the invention.

  • Patent number: 5571016
Abstract: A bone-embedded implant fixture is interfaced with an aluminum oxide abutment post through which a variety of different arrangements and types of prosthesis superstructures may be supported, including those having separate coping portions surface bonded to the abutment post. An access bore in the abutment post accomodates threaded insertion of a screw fastener carrying a deformable washer to hold the dental implant assembled and seal the gum tissue region into which the abutment post is fitted.
