Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for location and time bound digital container access control. One of the methods includes obtaining first data specifying a first geographic space in which a software widget operates; obtaining second data specifying a first timeframe during which the software widget is accessible; performing, on a mobile device of a user, a function of the software widget comprising receiving from a user, after the user has obtained a copy of the software widget when in the first geographic space and during the first timeframe, new location data specifying a second geographic space in which the software widget operates and new timeframe data specifying a second timeframe during which the software widget is accessible; and performing the function within the second geographic space and during the second timeframe.
