  • Patent number: 8008824
Abstract: An electric motor (1) has a stator (3), a rotor (2) and a number of permanent magnets (6). The use of permanent magnets (6) having a cuboidal shape, without impairing performance. The stator (3) has a number of permanent magnets (6) having a cuboidal shape, which are embedded in recesses (7) and whose axial length (8) is greater than the axial length (4) of the stator (3).

  • Publication number: 20090160280
Abstract: An electric motor with a small diameter can be provided with a stator with a comparatively small radial thickness which has the material volume required to conduct the magnetic flux. To this end, an electric motor (1) with a stator (3), has a laminated core (8) and a number of permanent magnets (6) and a rotor (2), which co-operates with the stator (3) and can rotate about a rotational axis (5). The stator (3) has a number of flux propagation elements (31), which together with the laminated core (8) are designed to conduct the magnetic flux and whose axial length (32) is greater than the axial length (4) of the laminated core (8).

  • Patent number: 7535146
Abstract: A brushless synchronous machine is energized by permanent magnets with a stator and a rotor. The rotor is supported within the stator to allow rotation. The rotor has a plurality of cutouts into which permanent magnets are embedded. An air gap is provided between the stator and the rotor. The outer contour of the rotors is formed such that the electromagnetic force induced by the individual stator tooth winding has a trapezoidal characteristic. The maximum value of the electromagnetic force is present uninterrupted in an electrical angle range of 30° to 90°.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 19, 2006
Date of Patent: May 19, 2009
