Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transferring messages relating to the status and/or changes in the status devices (GEG, GEG′, GEG″) which can be connected to a line-bound telecommunication network (BTN), wherein a status message is created and/or at least one predetermined status message is called by a state and/or the device. The status report contains information concerning change in the state of the device. Subsequently, a network connection is set up by the device and at least one status report is transmitted via the network connection to at least one predetermined address. The invention also relates to a device (GEG, GEG′, GEG″) for carrying out the inventive method.
