  • Publication number: 20230059623
Abstract: A device for covering a cut gap which can be produced by a machine tool. The device can be connected to a dust suctioning device so that the dust produced while working with the machine tool can be removed from the working area of the machine tool using the dust suctioning tool. A second aspect of the invention relates to a system consisting of at least two proposed devices. Another aspect of the invention relates to a method for suctioning dust from a working region of a machine tool. The device includes sealing caps which can be connected to a dust suctioning device via suction connecting pieces. • Patent number: 7850416
Abstract: A turbo-machine (1), including a stator (2), internally coated with a running-in layer (6), a rotor (4) within the stator (2), wherein the turbo-machine (1) supplementally includes a device for parallel displacement and rotation of the rotation axis of the rotor (10) about the axis of symmetry of the stator (2). By means of this device the gap width between stator (2) and rotor (4) is minimized and therewith the economy of the turbo-machine (1) is increased.

  • Publication number: 20060266434
Abstract: Prior to the thermal coating of a component generally a pretreatment of the surface to be coated is necessary, for example, a roughening by means of sand or water blasting. The problem with this type of pretreatment or coating is over-spraying, which also modifies the surfaces, which are not intended to be coated. As remedy for this, masks have been proposed which are placed in front of the internal surface prior to the pretreatment. The task of the present invention is comprised of providing an alternative to the conventional mask and partial coating processes. The task is solved in that the mask is not produced independent from the component, but rather together therewith. This occurs in the manner, that the component is produced with a local over dimensioning, which at least partially masks the areas to be not pretreated and/or not to be coated, however, allows access to the internal surface to be pretreated and/or thermally coated.

  • Publication number: 20060201917
Abstract: A process for monitoring the spray stream during thermal spraying of spray material, which contains at least two different materials A and B, by means infrared thermography, wherein the thermographic measured values are divided into at least two regions of the radiation intensity and these are assigned or associated to the respective image data for the at least two materials A and B as well as processes for controlling a thermal spray process with spray material multiple materials, wherein the material distribution of at least two materials A and B and their material specific average temperatures and/or radiation intensities within the spray stream are employed as normed values for the spray parameter carrier gas flow through, burner or flame power and/or material dosing.

  • Publication number: 20060204661
Abstract: Thermal coating processes are widely used to create localized different surface properties on work pieces, in particular enhanced hardness properties. It is important that only those regions of the work piece surface are activated and coated which have been planned for, and for this a mask is applied to the surface. The surface may be treated after application of the mask by a process such as grit blasting. The mask may be dimensionally stable for only a limited time. Removal of the coating material is possible but time and labor intensive. An improved mask is provided utilizing joined particles for the fabrication of the mask. After the coating, the used mask can be separated into its individual particles, which are then separated from the coating residues and are reused for the fabrication of new masks.

  • Publication number: 20060165524
Abstract: A compressor housing of a turbocharger is provided with an abrasion coating on the inner wall which cooperates with the compressor wheel. The production of the abrasion coating by means of plasma spraying does not require any activation in-depth of the surface and may be applied directly onto the surface of the compressor housing wall which is, for example rough turned. The coating has a constant porosity and a relative small particle size.

  • Publication number: 20060045735
Abstract: A device includes a rotor and a stator enclosing the rotor. The stator includes a deep-drawn workpiece and having a thermally sprayed abradable coating film deposited on the deep-drawn workpiece. A minimal gap is disposed between the rotor and the stator. In addition, a method for manufacturing the device includes the steps of forming a workpiece by deep-drawing into one of the stator and an insert of the stator, depositing an abradable coating film on the stator using a thermal spray coating method, and ablating the abradable coating film using the rotor so as to form the minimal gap.
