  • Patent number: 9693043
Abstract: The invention provides a lenticular lens type three-dimensional image display device and a method of fabricating the device without a need for a clear plastic substrate transposed between the image and lenticular lenses. The device can be obtained by directly printing curable coatings onto the image, making them particularly well suited for volume production. The combination the image printing and application of curable coatings process can be joined together to conduct the single pass-process. The single pass-process allows for flexibility of the printing only selective areas of the substrate. Moreover, this process allows the device to be recyclable.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 27, 2012
Date of Patent: June 27, 2017
    Assignee: Actega North America, Inc.

  • Patent number: 9617445
Abstract: The invention provides an ultraviolet light curable metallic composition, and articles made therewith. The UV-curable metallic compositions provide a high gloss metallic finish, retain the gloss level over storage duration, and maintain press and shelf stability, while maintaining fast cure speeds. The metallic finishes of the instant compositions have gloss above 190 GU measured at 60°.

  • Publication number: 20040191572
Abstract: The present invention comprises a radiation curable composition for in-line printing containing magnetic pigments capable of being magnetized to possess permanent magnetic properties after the composition is cured. The composition is cured by an ionizing radiation source, preferably by UV light or electron beam radiation (UV/EB). The present invention is also directed to an in-line process for printing magnetic images on non-magnetic substrate, comprising: pattern applying the above mentioned radiation curable composition on the substrate opposite to a print side, pre-aligning the magnetic pigment particles (if necessary) of the applied composition, curing the composition by ionizing radiation source (UV/EB), magnetizing the cured composition, then finishing the final piece.
