Publication number: 20240144320Abstract: One embodiment of an existing customer lead generation system comprises a vendor customer information database, a vendor criteria database, a web server, a matching engine, and a transmission component. The vendor customer information database identifies vendor's existing customers. The vendor criteria database determines which leads each vendor wants to receive. Separate criteria may be specified for consumers that are existing customers and consumers that are not existing customers. The web server receives characteristics of a consumer and a product or service. The matching engine compares the consumer characteristics with the vendor customer information database to identify vendors for which the consumer is an existing customer. The matching engine applies existing customer criteria to match the consumer with existing vendors. The matching engine applies non-existing customer criteria to match the consumer with other vendors.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Bruce Cook, Vincent Lewis, Anson Lee

Patent number: 9783143Abstract: An electrical system for an automotive vehicle has a plurality of electrical generating machines having field windings energized by pulse width modulated drive signals generated by an external electronic voltage regulator. The pulse width modulated drive signals have a duty cycle determined by the electronic voltage regulator. A controller selects one of electrical generating machines to evaluate for failure and evaluates that electrical generating machine for failure by causing the PWM drive signal for the field windings of that electrical generating machine to be disabled. The controller then determines that this electrical generating machine has failed if the duty cycle for the PWM drive signals has then not been increased by the electronic voltage regulator by a pre-determined amount. The electrical generating machines are either generators or alternators. In an aspect, the PWM drive signals for the plurality of electrical generating machines are out of phase with each other.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2015Date of Patent: October 10, 2017Assignee: FCA US LLCInventors: Jan S Pyko, Michael J Pawlukiewicz, Michael E List, Anson Lee

Patent number: 7043899Abstract: A method of non-intrusive monitoring of catalyst performance in an automotive exhaust system uses a model of catalytic converter operation emphasizing oxygen storage capacity dominance. Model parameters are identified using a recursive Kalman filtering technique. A catalyst diagnostic index is derived from at least one identified parameter, and the index is used to judge converter performance.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2004Date of Patent: May 16, 2006Assignee: DaimlerChrysler CorporationInventors: Wei Wang, Anson Lee

Patent number: 7032439Abstract: A method of detecting misfire events in an engine uses system identification technology. A linear model is determined for estimating engine firing events based on engine speed fluctuations. The linear model is represented as a difference equation. A Kalman filter is applied to the difference equation to determine unknown parameters of the linear model. Misfire events in the engine are detected based on the linear model.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2003Date of Patent: April 25, 2006Assignee: DaimlerChrysler CorporationInventors: Anson Lee, Zhijian James Wu

Patent number: 6978666Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for systematically calibrating an engine misfire detection system for an internal combustion engine. The present invention provides a method of collecting a plurality of groups of sample data points. Each of the groups of sample data points represents a cylinder firing event. Optionally, misfire events can be induced during the collection of the groups of sample data points. Using the collected data points, a plurality of compensation parameters is then generated and applied iteratively to the sample data points to generally optimize the detection of misfire occurrences. Compensation parameters that produce a high accuracy misfire detection are selected and can be exported from the calibration system to transport to an engine controller in an internal combustion engine.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2004Date of Patent: December 27, 2005Assignee: DaimlerChrysler CorporationInventors: Zhijian James Wu, Min Han, Anson Lee

Publication number: 20040267837Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for updating network appliances using urgent update notifications. The network appliances periodically initiates connection to “poll” updates from the update server and the update server collects IP addresses from the connections and updates an IP address log. The update server obtains updates for the network appliances and determines whether a particular update is urgent. When an urgent update is available, the server delivers an urgent update notification (UUN) to each known network appliance through an existing port used for messaging. Each network appliance receives the UUN and distinguishes it from other messages. In response to the UUN, each network appliance automatically connects to the server, obtains the urgent update and installs the urgent update.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2003Publication date: December 30, 2004Applicant: Nokia Inc.Inventors: Bing Wang, Anson Lee, Felipe Albertao, James Card, Robert P. Patent number: 6314802Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for detecting engine misfire with an optimal compensation of the RPM signal in an internal combustion engine in which the data signal containing a plurality of groups of sample data points is generated. Each of the groups of sample data points represents a cylinder firing event. The data signal is then conditioned for misfire detection processing. The data engine cycle compensation vectors for the RPM zone is then multiplied to the sample data of the RPM. Each group of sample data points is processed using signal processing techniques and then mapped into a single mapped data point. The mapped data points are further processed and then compared to a misfire detection dynamic threshold. A misfire detection signal is then output if any of the mapped data points fall outside the dynamic threshold. The misfire detection system achieves high degree of accuracy through a signal processing and statistical detection technology.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 1999Date of Patent: November 13, 2001Assignee: DaimlerChrysler CorporationInventors: Zhijian James Wu, Anson Lee
