    Abstract: A drill rod for breaking up the edge of a hole comprises a cylindrical body, a buffer and injector nozzles. The drill rod injects air and water through its injector nozzles at the material deposited at the edge of the hole, thus achieving the breaking up thereof without the need to use auxiliary equipment or manual operations. A method for breaking up the edge of a hole is described, including using a rod to break up the edge of a hole, and comprising the stages necessary to perform this operation using a drill.
