  • Patent number: 7530338
Abstract: A variable lift deactivateable valvetrain system for an engine is provided. The system includes a camshaft, a rocker shaft, a valve and at least one rocker arm rotateably connected to the rocker shaft and arranged to engage the camshaft. A connecting rocker arm is rotateably connected to the rocker shaft and is in constant engagement with the valve. The connecting rocker arm is arranged to operate in selective engagement with the at least one rocker arm to provide a variable lift deactivateable valvetrain configuration. The system further includes a low lift rocker arm having a low lift pin assembly and a high lift rocker arm having a high lift pin assembly. The low and high lift pin assemblies are arranged to selectively engage the connecting rocker arm responsive to oil pressure selectively directed to the low and high lift pin assemblies.

  • Patent number: 7328675
Abstract: A finger lever (1) that can be switched for different cam lifts is provided. The finger lever includes an outer arm (2), between whose limbs (3) an inner arm (4) is pivotally mounted. Inside the inner arm (4), starting form one end (9), a blind borehole (16) is provided with a coupling element (5), which can be longitudinally displaced therein and which, in the event of coupling, can be displaced partially under a driver surface (18) of a crossbar (15) of the outer arm (2). Height stopping parts (34) are provided on the inner arm (4) in the form of a simple, finger-like extension of the inner arm (4) at the end (9) thereof which extend out over the crossbar (15).

  • Patent number: 6820584
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method to adjust the quantity of oil delivered to the cylinders of an internal combustion engine of an outboard motor. The system includes an oiling system to distribute oil throughout the internal combustion engine. The oiling system has a pressure sensor connected between an oil injector and the internal combustion engine to sense oil pressure and produce an oil pressure indicative signal to an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU is configured to monitor the oil pressure indicative signal and modify a modulated oil injection signal delivered to the oil injector.
