  • Patent number: 5456173
Abstract: A device for fixing end rings in the ends of a rotary screen printing stencil wherein a layer of adhesive, which has been applied between the end rings and the ends of said stencil, is hardened by using infra-red radiation producing means such as infra-red radiators. Such radiators each have a reflector which is insulated at their back-sides. During the treatment with infra-red radiation, the assembly of end rings and printing stencil may be rotated around the longitudinal axis of the stencil.

  • Patent number: 5133125
Abstract: Described is a method for manufacturing light weight roller in which a thin metal roller casing, such as a thin electroformed sleeve, is centered by journals after which inside the roller casing a low density filling is applied. The low density filling may be a set plastic foam or gas under pressure. In a further embodiment a metal inner roller casing is present which is concentric with an outer roller casing. The space inside the inner casing and the space between the inner casing and the outer casing may be filled with a low density material. Also is described a roller thus obtained having a roller casing of electroformed nickel of a thickness between 100 and 500 .mu.m.

  • Patent number: 4949445
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for fitting a cylindrical sleeve around a cylindrical core. The core is covered with a layer of compressible material.Upon mounting a pressurized medium is fed between the inner surface of the sleeve and the outer surface of the compressible layer. The compressible layer, of which at least the outer layer is impermeable for the pressurized medium, is compressed and the sleeve can be slid on the core. Also is disclosed a roller core for use in a process as discussed above.
