  • Publication number: 20220041169
Abstract: A method of providing an indication of driving performance involves obtaining a forward acceleration and speed of a vehicle. A forward acceleration threshold value is identified for use in identifying excessive forward acceleration of the vehicle based on the determined speed of the vehicle. For any vehicle speed within a range of vehicle speeds, the acceleration threshold value is defined by a function based on the determined speed of the vehicle, wherein the forward acceleration threshold value according to the function varies continually with vehicle speed over the range of vehicle speeds. The determined forward acceleration of the vehicle is compared with the determined acceleration threshold value, and an indication of an excessive forward acceleration driving event is generated when the determined forward acceleration exceeds the determined acceleration threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20220027857
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for interactive peer-to-peer reviews. Techniques disclosed assign participants, set to interact with each other via a communication system, into groups; each group comprises participants that set to interact in a group session as a reviewer or as a reviewee. Each participant in a group is provided with instructions, based on which the participant interacts with another participant in the group during a respective group session. Calibration data are generated based on feedback data associated with the interactions among the participants during respective group sessions. The calibration data may be used to calibrate the interactions in ongoing sessions by updating the instructions provided to the participants in the group sessions.

  • Publication number: 20220026492
Abstract: Vehicle battery voltage data is received from a telematics control unit (TCU) of a vehicle dining multiple driving cycles, and analysed to determine a state of health (SOH) and state of charge (SOC) of the battery. The TCU also provides data relating to the state of an ignition switch of the vehicle for use in analysing the voltage data. A starting probability factor for the vehicle is determined and monitored. Information about the ability of the battery to start the vehicle is output to the user.

  • Publication number: 20210264043
Abstract: A computer-implemented method selectively restricts interaction with apps installed on a digital device, e.g. a smartphone. The digital device has a launcher. The method may include selecting a first set of one or more apps, e.g. distracting apps, and storing information identifying the first set of selected apps with the launcher, storing information identifying a key device with the launcher, and the launcher switching between a first operation mode and a second operation mode in response to detecting a connection between the digital device and the key device. In the first operation mode, e.g. a ‘restricted’ operation mode, the launcher prevents the apps in the first set of selected apps from running in the foreground and the launcher blocks notifications originating from an app in the first set of selected apps.

  • Patent number: 11101047
Abstract: The power plant system includes a molten salt reactor assembly, a thermocline unit, phase change heat exchangers, and process heat systems. The thermocline unit includes an insulated tank, an initial inlet, a plurality of zone outlets, and a plurality of gradient zones corresponding to each zone outlet and being stacked in the tank. Each gradient zone has a molten salt portion at a portion temperature corresponding to the molten salt supply from the molten salt reactor being stored in the tank and stratified. The molten salt portions at higher portion temperatures generate thermal energy for process heat systems that require higher temperatures, and molten salt portions at lower portion temperatures generate thermal energy for process heat systems that require lower temperatures. The system continuously pumps the molten salt supply in controlled rates to deliver the heat exchange fluid supply to perform work in the corresponding particular process heat system.
