  • Publication number: 20230144941
Abstract: According to one aspect, it becomes possible to easily modify a 3D object which is displayed in a virtual reality space. A method is performed by a computer configured to be communicable with a position detection device that includes a drawing surface and that, in operation, detects a position of an electronic pen on the drawing surface. The method includes rendering, in a virtual reality space, a first object that is a 3D object, rendering, near the first object, a display surface that is a 3D object, rendering, on the display surface, a 3D line that is a 3D object generated based on the position of the electronic pen on the drawing surface, wherein the position of the electronic pen is detected by the position detection device, and outputting the first object, the display surface, and the 3D line, which are the 3D objects, to a display.

  • Patent number: 10387444
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a non-transitory computer-readable medium that stores a program executable by at least one processing unit of a first device. The program receives from a second device a selection of a set of measures associated with data. The program also receives from the second device a selection of a set of dimensions associated with data. The program further receives from the second device a selection of a type of analysis. Based on the set of measures, the set of dimensions, and the type of analysis, the program also determines a type of visualization of the set of measures and the set of dimensions.

  • Patent number: 9953022
Abstract: Enterprise data sources can be monitored to detect metric conditions via rules, and alerts can be generated. The alerts can be presented as natural language descriptions of metric conditions. From an alert, the reader can navigate to a story page that presents additional detail and allows further navigation within the data. Additional detail presented can include a drill down synopsis, strategies for overcoming a negative condition, links to discussions within the organization about the condition, options for sharing or collaborating about the condition, or the like.

  • Publication number: 20140093225
Abstract: An electrical water heating appliance includes pump means connected to a water heating means via a water flow path. One or more flow-regulating valve means are arranged in the flow path to regulate the flow of water to the heating means so as to achieve a substantially uniform flow rate. The flow-regulating valve means may include a pressure-compensating valve means arranged to achieve a substantially uniform flow rate regardless of the water pressure. A suitable pressure-compensating valve means may include an elastic diaphragm arranged to regulate the flow by distorting in response to the pressure of water entering the valve means. The water heating means may be a water boiler for steam generation.

  • Patent number: 8446631
Abstract: In an exemplary method, a driver for a printing device receives a print job comprising a poster document. The print job is designated to be printed on a printing device. The driver identifies the size of the paper for which the poster document is initially formatted. The driver determines whether the target printing device is capable of printing on larger paper. If the target printing device is capable of printing on larger paper, the driver reformats the poster document for printing on the larger paper.

  • Publication number: 20120039586
Abstract: A steam generator e.g. for a hand-held portable appliance such as a domestic iron or steam cleaner comprises a water inlet, a boiler, a valve for controlling the entry of water into the boiler and means for delivering a surge of water to the boiler when the valve is opened. Also disclosed is an adaptor for supplying electrical power to a mobile electrical appliance. The adaptor is operable in a corded mode when secured to the appliance for supplying electrical power and water while the appliance is being used; or a cordless mode when secured to a base unit such that electrical and water connection can be made by placing the appliance on or against the base unit; and broken by lifting or moving the appliance away from the base unit.

  • Publication number: 20080070255
Abstract: The invention relates generally to isolated leucoanthocyanidin reductase LAR polypeptides of the Reductase-Epimerase-Dehydrogenase (RED) protein family, and nucleic acid molecules encoding same and their use in regulating the biosynthesis and accumulation of proanthocyanidins in plants. The invention is further directed to isolated nucleic acid molecules of plants which encode leucoanthocyanidin reductases of the RED protein family. The isolated polypeptides and nucleic acid molecules of the present invention are useful for modifying the pasture quality of legumes, and, in particular, for producing bloat-safe forage crops. or crops having enhanced nutritional value, enhanced disease resistance or pest resistance, or enhanced malting qualities.
