  • Patent number: 11176070
Abstract: A circuit is provide comprising a first input coupled to a transmit data input of a bus transceiver; and a first output coupled to a bus. The circuit is configured to be coupled in parallel with the bus transceiver. The circuit is further configured to, in response to a dominant to recessive transition on the transmit data input, lower an impedance of the bus.

  • Patent number: 10922264
Abstract: A transceiver for sending and receiving data from a controller area network (CAN) bus I disclosed. The transceiver is configured to detect if a node, after losing an arbitration, has sent a dominant bit on the CAN bus. The transceiver further configured to send a predefined bit pattern on the CAN bus after receiving the dominant bit from the node.

  • Patent number: 10020841
Abstract: A circuit is provided for ringing suppression. The circuit comprises a termination resistor coupled to a bus via a switch; and a control circuit. The control circuit comprises an input coupled to a data input pin of a bus transceiver and an output coupled to control the termination resistor. The circuit is configured to selectively couple the resistor to the bus in response to a transition on the input bit stream.

  • Publication number: 20080069121
Abstract: A gateway (150) is connected to local networks (40, 45) of target devices (20-23). The gateway (150) has an event handling function (162) which stores events (173) which may occur and, for each event, commands for controlling the target devices (20-23). A remote server (50) supports an application (130) which configures the event handling function (162) for control of the target devices as well as directly communicating with target devices (20-23). The gateway (150) continues to allow operation of target devices (20-23) if communication with the remote server (50) is interrupted. The invention can be used as an enhancement of the OSGi Virtual Gateway Model, with an OSGi Java application (130) being supported by a Java Virtual Machine on the server (50). The event handling function (162) can be achieved by executing an application written in the native code of the gateway (150).

  • Publication number: 20060075258
Abstract: A data archiving system and method is described. A storage device (10) is arranged to communicate with an archival device (40) and to upload a stored file (30) thereto. The storage device (10) is arranged to generate a file encryption key and encrypt the file with the file encryption key upon upload to the archival device (40). The file encryption key can be regenerated by the storage device (10) upon presentation of the encrypted file.

  • Publication number: 20060056629
Abstract: A data storage system, and associated asynchronous communication system and method are described. The data storage system includes data storage means (46) for storing data and an asynchronous transmitter/receiver (45) arranged to communicate over an IEEE 1394 network (30). The data storage means (46) is arranged to accept inputs and to output via an access limiting connector. At least selected data files of the stored data include copy control limiting information, a request for a data file including the copy control limiting information from the data storage means being permitted by the access limiting connector only upon successful authentication. A permitted requested file being encrypted and transmitted asynchronously by the transmitter/receiver (45).
