  • Publication number: 20080058714
Abstract: An improved tubing device, preferably for use in the medical industry is provided. The tubing device provides a seamless transport path by using the tubing itself as the transport means without any other internally wetted parts, or connections, to provide a substantial reduction in the number of fluid contact components, and eliminate the need for cutting tubes into segments to be later bonded via tubing connectors. This can reduce the risk of contamination of the transported materials and can also reduce the use of chemicals such as adhesives and bonding agents.

  • Publication number: 20060178613
Abstract: An improved biological fluid filtration system is shown having, seriatim, a blood container, a biological fluid filtration device downstream of the blood container, and a blood receiving container downstream of the biological fluid filtration device; a bypass line is provided to allow fluid communication between the blood container and the blood receiving container, the bypass line includes a loop, the loop of the bypass line being configured to be disposed above the blood container at a sufficient height to prevent the passage of fluid around the leukocyte depletion device; the loop of the bypass line being disposed in a tube support device, the tube support device being configured to support substantially the entire weight of the biological fluid filtration system without substantially crimping said bypass line.

  • Publication number: 20040023397
Abstract: A method of authenticating products or packaging by analyzing key ingredients on products or on product packaging is disclosed. Light-sensitive compounds can be used to identify the product or product packaging. The product or product package may include visible or invisible ink containing a particular light-sensitive compound. One or more light-sensitive compounds and ink, if used, may be printed in one or more locations on the product or product packaging to produce an authentication mark to inhibit inadvertent or intentional removal of the mark, thereby rendering the mark tamper-resistant. The mark is sealed to isolate the mark from the environment. A device may be used to irradiate the mark and read light absorption or emission. A controller determines the authenticity of the mark by comparing the emitted or absorbed properties to a standard.

  • Publication number: 20020133374
Abstract: This application discloses systems and methods of facilitating communication between a service professional and a client. In one embodiment, a professional submits profile data to a service facilitator who makes the profile data available to prospective clients, and the professional agrees to use a service enhancing system to provide service to any client obtained. The professional may agree to provide payment for use of the service enhancing system, may agree not to charge the client for the use of such system, may agree to use an enhanced version of the service enhancing system in exchange for enhanced availability of the profile data, may agree to specific standards of service in exchange for making the profile data available, and/or may agree to provide periodic assurance of adherence to the specific standards, or may provide a combination of those agreements.

  • Patent number: 6009187
Abstract: An inspection system (20) has an image capture device (10) that is mounted onto a wafer prober (15) for the electrical verification of electronic components (60) having an emissive display (61). The image capture device (10) includes a lens (31) that collects the image generated by the emissive display (61). The image is passed to mirrors (36,37) which redirect a portion of the image into a pickup device (41). The emissive display (61) is partitioned into subregions (62-65) to facilitate the capturing of the image. As the image of each of the subregions (62-65) is collected by image capture device (10), the other subregions (62-65) are deactivated.

  • Patent number: 5469072
Abstract: An integrated circuit test system provides a quick change flexible circuit membrane (214). The flexible circuit membrane is a quadrant based design which allows steep launch angles away from a rectangular die under test (112). The flexible circuit membrane is edge guided (308,309) for positioning and concentric alignment in a probe tooling fixture (212). The system may include a focusing force member (528) focusing force only at the test point locations in line with the die pad contact positions (512) which allows greater force to be concentrated on the contact area, and helps to alleviate the debris tracking or "dust mop" effect. Additionally, a relieved area (620) may be provided on the pressure applicator (616) to prevent membrane droop or the pillowing effects.
