Abstract: A method and apparatus for searching a database of vehicle values for a damaged or donated vehicle to determine a value of a vehicle of interest. The search permits free text searching and performs autocomplete of search terms as well as autocomplete of related search terms. Search results are determined after search terms are deciphered by the algorithm and those deciphered terms are then used to query the database to identify matching information.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for guiding and tracking a workflow for transferring a title of a damaged vehicle from an owner to an insurance company and then to a salvage company. The method is provided via a website that identifies the specific requirements for the vehicle transfer depending on the state in which the vehicle is titled, the existence of any liens on the vehicle, and the state in which the vehicle will be sold. The user identifies the documents and things that will be needed for the transfer and monitors the completion of each task in the process.
