  • Publication number: 20250075731
Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for refining a ball joint stud. The method includes receiving and releasably securing the ball joint stud in a holder between a first die and a second die. The method further includes translating one or more of the first die and the second die towards the remaining die to apply a compression pressure to the ball joint stud. The compression pressure causes a plastic radial compression of the ball joint stud to a stroke length. The stroke length may be to induce a residual stress in the ball joint stud or increase a surface hardness of the ball joint stud. The first die and second die each include a contact surface configured to interface with the ball joint stud. The method may further include rotating one or more of the first die and the second die during the application of the compression pressure.

  • Patent number: 12210910
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing load balancing are provided. Example embodiments provide an Application Workspace System “AWS” which enables users to access remote server-based applications using the same interface that they use to access local applications, without needing to know where the application is being accessed. In one embodiment, a load balancing message bus is provided that performs load balancing and resource discovery within the AWS. For example, the AWS may use a broadcast message-bus based load balancing to determine which servers to use to launch remote application access requests or to perform session management. This abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an abstract, and it is submitted with the intention that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Publication number: 20220300888
Abstract: Techniques for automating dispatching of one or more field personnel to support a batch of service requests for appointments from multiple requestor devices are described. In one example, an on-site service management application may implement a scheduling algorithm that uses optimization variables to calculate an optimum cost of dispatching one or more field personnel to fulfill the batch of service requests. Because there is multiple field personnel who can serve the requests, the on-site service management application may schedule the availability and/or reorganize the field personnel schedule substantively in real-time. This technique may improve customer or requestor experience and minimizes costs on the part of the service providers.

  • Patent number: 10724680
Abstract: A personal device holder for hands free positioning of a sexual device includes a primary support member having a proximal end and a distal end. The personal device holder include an auxiliary support member having a first end coupled to the proximal end of the primary support member and a second end opposite the first end, the auxiliary support member having a planar configuration and being normally positioned perpendicular to the primary support member. The primary support member defines a first aperture in communication with a peripheral edge of the proximal end thereof. The first ring assembly is pivotally coupled to the proximal end of the primary support member and positioned in the first aperture, the first ring assembly including a first ring having a flexible diameter having a 360 degree range of rotation and operable to receive the cap end of the sexual device in a friction fit arrangement.

  • Patent number: 10033581
Abstract: A method for retrieval of device-type managers is provided. A historical information of user's historical selection to device-type-managers (DTMs) is identified. The historical information represents a selected DTM and a VMR information of the selected DTM. The VMR information is related to vendor, model and revision of a field device. The VMR information of the selected DTM is associated with the selected DTM. The VMR information is retrieved. The DTMs to be recommended are evaluated, based on the historical information and the VMR information associated with the DTM. A result of evaluation on the DTMs to be recommended is generated. Based on the result of evaluation, a recommend list including one or more recommended DTMs to be launched by at least one of the plurality of client devices is generated.

  • Publication number: 20070034124
Abstract: A portable pop-up mobile desk/workstation that is both functional and decorative. A solid, L-shaped body is oriented like a shelf when in use. The shelf like surface is greater than the wall plate assembly surface which consist of the top of wall plate with pencil cradle and the wall plate. The back of the wall plate assembly has two keyhole fasteners allowing the desk to be removed and placed anywhere screws or fasteners can be installed. The bottom of the desk is assembled together with a continuous hinge, and two drop leaf brace provide the desk erect and collapsible function. A quick fold bar makes folding the desk away easy. The desk itself is made of a hard material, not unlike a wood, plastic, metal or any suitable material that can perform as a desk, table, countertop or workbench as well as any other device that may hold items.

  • Patent number: 6023787
Abstract: The present invention is a hood with faceguard and visor for protecting a user from cold or inclement weather. It comprises a hood with a drawstring and to which a protective facecover is attached. The faceguard is attached to a lower portion of the hood in a tubular fashion. In use, the faceguard is pulled up through the lower portion of the hood which then obverts or turns the faceguard and lower portion "outside in". This places the faceguard in proper alignment for use on a users face within the hood, affording maximum protection for a user from the weather. An alternate embodiment of the invention comprises a faceguard integrally connected to the hood or cover in a position to align with a user's face upon being donned by a user. In the alternate embodiment, a drawstring is contained within a channel. The channel forms an arc described by a path beginning at a first side of the faceguard, arcing up to a zenith of the hood, and descending to the second side of the faceguard.
