A supply of water is passed from the spa or the hot tub into the skimmer and through the filter cartridge so that the dispenser suspended in the filtered water in the filter cartridge is operable to dispense the water treatment material from the dispenser, and a supply of treated filtered water from the filter cartridge is returned to the spa or the hot tub. A cover, for example, may be employed when the dispenser is not used.

The body includes at least one set of oppositely faced coplanar flow nozzles allowing coplanar flow to occur in opposite directions from the device. The device includes a hollow internal channel therein extending continually from a first slotted nozzle at one end of the body to a second slotted nozzle at a second end of the body that water from a water supply inlet can flow in both directions within the hollow channel towards both slotted nozzles.

Abstract: In various embodiments a gas and ceramic grill combination is provided. The assembly includes a cart adapted to receive a Kamado grill. Additionally the assembly is adapted to provide a gas burner grill, storage, and removable flip-up side shelves. A sear burner is provided for some embodiments. In at least one embodiment the frame structure for the combination may be configured for separation and combining of the gas grill frame and the charcoal grill frame. The combination grill is one integrally formed structure in one embodiment. In an alternative embodiment, the combination grill includes two separate structures that are adapted to be joined one to another.

Abstract: A bioactive sol-gel solution includes a biocompatible polymer, a gelable inorganic base material, and at least one calcium and phosphorous molecular species. The base material can be an alkoxide, such as TEOS. The polymer acts as a viscosity modifier to the sol or gel, increases the viscosity range over which fibers can be sprayed or spun, and broadens the time period over which fibers can be sprayed or spun. A bioactive glass composite can be formed from the bioactive sol-gel solution, including a fibrous form. Fibers can serve as a scaffold for cell growth and in the repair of hard or soft tissue defects.

Abstract: A sound system and a head rest for a spa and a spa having a sound system are disclosed. The sound system includes a head rest mountable to a spa and at least one electronic speaker. The head rest includes sound emitting perforations and is mounted to the spa whereby the uppermost rim of the spa remains at a substantially uniform elevation. The electronic speaker is mounted to transmit audible sound through the perforations in the head rest. The head rest may also include a light-transferring insert that is illuminated to provide an enhanced bathing experience. The head rest may also include a fluid flow device, for example, a nozzle for water. The sound system and head rest can be used to introduce audio to a tub, spa, pool, bath, or shower while imposing little or no impact upon the fabrication, storage, or shipping of the tub, spa, pool, bath, or shower.

The polymeric layer can also expand or contract upon oxidation or reduction.
