  • Publication number: 20070144127
Abstract: A filter block, particularly for filtering particulates present in the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, including peripheral inlet (50,14p2) and outlet (52,14p1) channels arranged alternately at the periphery of the block and each including an external wall (44;54 ;401,402;403) exposed to the exterior of the block and an internal wall (46 ;56 ;404,405 ;406,407,408) arranged inside the block. The block according to the invention is remarkable in that it includes at least one group (G) of two adjacent peripheral channels (50,52) such that, in a transverse plane of section (P), the ratio R of the average thickness “E” of all the external walls (44,54) of the group (G) to the average thickness “e” of all the internal walls (46,56) of the (G) is greater than 1.2.
