  • Patent number: 4275421
Abstract: A liquid crystal control unit is programmable to produce appropriate driv waveforms to operate a liquid crystal for displaying an optical image of input information. The input information optionally is from a digital computer or from an electronic camera.A liquid crystal display (LCD) is actuated to display a portion of or all of an analog television signal or a digital computer originating signal. A conventional television signal is fed through a buffer which in turn couples the signal in parallel to a sync stripper, a video mixer, and a conditioner. From the sync stripper, a phase lock loop creates clock pulses which control horizontal size, sample and position circuitry and vertical size, sample and position circuitry. The system affords considerable flexibility since the sampling rate and location within the TV picture are displayed on the LCD and can be adjusted by the frequency of the clock pulses originating in the phase lock loop and the size and position of the vertical and horizontal gates.

  • Patent number: 4023202
Abstract: A television tracking symbol generator for use in a non-imaging seeker to ovide basic flight test performance that can be instantly understood by watching a conventional television real time display of the airborne TV monitor or subsequent display by means of a video tape recording made during the test. The display contains the dynamic and pictorial rendition of the target movement, the terrain, the weather conditions, the seeker's aim point, the stabilized platform's aim point and the target's signal strength as received at the seeker. All the key performance data about the seeker are integrated and correlated in the TV picture.

  • Patent number: 4002824
Abstract: A means is provided to display a picture with a portion magnified while the est of the picture remains constant. The timing and clock rate applied to a solid state sensor (such as charge coupled devices or self-scanning photo-diode arrays) are adjusted so that the output of the sensor will provide a variable zoom video to be displayed by a standard TV monitor.

  • Patent number: 3935381
Abstract: An electronic control system for changing the image size produced by solid tate sensors such as the Reticon sensor array, charged coupled devices, etc. The image size is increased or decreased by varying the horizontal and vertical scanning rate with respect to standard TV timing. The scanning rate is controlled by controlling the frequency of the horizontal and vertical clock pulses applied to the solid state sensor.
