Publication number: 20240126886Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems for providing trusted computing for digital devices. The techniques and systems may use cryptographic algorithms to provide trusted computing and processing. By doing so, the techniques help ensure authentic computation and prevent nefarious acts. For example, a method is described that receives a signature associated with a designee and validates the signature. The signature may be associated with a designee of a host computing device, and the signature may be generated according to firmware associated with an integrated circuit of the host computing device and a first private key of a first asymmetric key pair. Signature validation may be based on a second asymmetric key pair having a second private key and a second public key, the second private key stored in write-once memory of the host computing device.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2021Publication date: April 18, 2024Applicant: Google LLCInventors: Oskar Gerhard Senft, Miguel Angel Osorio Lozano, Timothy Jay Chen, Dominic Anthony Rizzo

Patent number: 11960683Abstract: A display system for sensing a finger of a user applied to the display system includes a display panel; a sensor for sensing the finger; a sensing light source configured to emit a first light having a first wavelength W1; and a reflective polarizer disposed between the display panel and the sensor. For a substantially normally incident light, an optical transmittance of the reflective polarizer versus wavelength for a first polarization state has a band edge such that for a first wavelength range extending from a smaller wavelength L1 to a greater wavelength L2 and including W1, where 30 nm?L2?L1?50 nm and L1 is greater than and within about 20 nm of a wavelength L3 corresponding to an optical transmittance of about 50% along the band edge, the optical transmittance has an average of greater than about 75%.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2021Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: 3M INNOVATIVE PROPERTIES COMPANYInventors: Bharat R. Patent number: 11953706Abstract: Wavelength-selective films are visibly apparent under the selective wavelength. Wavelength-selective films typically reflect off axis the selected wavelength and therefore can provide high-contrast against a background when applied in a pattern on a substrate. However, it is difficult to apply unique patterned embedded images from film. Disclosed is a cost-effective method and construction of a patterned wavelength-selective image to a substrate. In the disclosed wavelength-selective image, wavelength-selective film particles are applied to an adhesive pattern to create the wavelength-selective image.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2019Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: 3M INNOVATIVE PROPERTIES COMPANYInventors: Kui Chen-Ho, Kenneth L. Patent number: 11935300Abstract: In various embodiments, a match cutting application automatically generates candidate match cuts. In some embodiments, the match cutting application detects shot sequences within one or more video sequences, deduplicates the shot sequences, computes an encoding of each shot sequence after the deduplication, and compares the encodings associated with pairs of shot sequences using a distance metric to identify pairs of shot sequences that can be cut together to generate candidate match cuts. In addition, the match cutting application can apply an approximation technique, such as an approximate nearest neighbor search technique, to identify intermediate pairs of shot sequences prior to comparing encodings associated with the intermediate pairs of shot sequences.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: NETFLIX, INC.Inventors: Boris Anthony Chen, Amirreza Ziai, Kelli Rebecca Griggs, Rebecca Suzanne Tucker

Patent number: 11916657Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a cellular communication network that can determine whether communications between one base station-UE pair may interfere with another UE that is in the same cell or a different cell. The network identifies interference parameters associated with interference signals that may be received by a UE. The interference signals may be generated by the base station itself, such as communications with other UEs, or by a neighboring base station. The base station transmits the interference parameters to the UE. The UE receives the one or more parameters comprising information about signals expected to cause intra-cell or inter-cell interference. The UE then processes received signals using the one or more parameters to suppress the intra-cell or inter-cell interference.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2021Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATEDInventors: Runhua Chen, Eko N.
