  • Patent number: 11938329
Abstract: Implantable medical devices include circuitry positioned adjacent to header-related structures, rather than having the header and related structures sitting atop the position of the circuitry within a device housing. A circuit board within the device housing may be positioned adjacently to a lead bore of the header. Feedthrough conductors may extend from the circuitry to conductors of the header while being positioned adjacently to the circuit board. Lead frame conductors may extend to the electrical connectors of the lead bores while also being adjacent to the upper portion of the circuitry. Device height may be reduced by having the circuitry be positioned adjacent to one or more of the various header-related structures.

  • Patent number: 10544699
Abstract: A component and method for minimizing a gap between a blade platform ledge and a vane platform ledge in a turbine engine. The blade platform supports turbine blades attached to a shaft. The movable blade platform is positioned adjacent to a stationary vane platform having vanes mounted on an outer surface. The blade and vane platforms are separated by the gap between the platform ledges. During manufacture, an abrasive coating is applied to the surface of the blade platform ledges so that the coating contacts the vane platform ledge when the engine is started. The abrasive coating on the turbine blade platform cuts the surface of the vane platform ledge to form a gap sufficient to permit unobstructed motion of the blade platform, yet of minimal size to limit the flow of gas between the space within and the space outside the platforms.

  • Patent number: 10521397
Abstract: A method for monitoring content from a plurality of data sources includes performing an initial search for the content by receiving a keyword to be used in searching for the content from the data sources, searching the plurality of data source for the content associated with the keywords, preventing an action to be performed on the one or more relevant content identified to be associated with the keyword, and notifying one or more users regarding the relevant content that is be associated with the keywords. After performing the initial search for the content, the method may continuously monitor the plurality of data sources to determine if the data sources generate new content that is associated with the keywords and preventing an action to be performed on the new content determined to be associated with the keyword.

  • Publication number: 20080114090
Abstract: A method of preparing intraocular lenses in situ is disclosed. The method involves the injection of an unsaturated macromonomer of Formula I: The macromonomer is then polymerised to give a polymer suitable for use in an intraocular lens.

  • Publication number: 20050004255
Abstract: A hydrophilic ethylenically unsaturated macromonomer is disclosed that is prepared by the addition polymerization of addition polymerizable monomers that include monomers that have hydroxyl or amino functional groups, some of which may be subsequently reacted to provide (meth)acryl ethylenic unsaturation. The macromonomers may be used to form intraocular lenses in situ by polymerization of the macromonomers, and thus treat presbyopia.

  • Patent number: 6346121
Abstract: The invention provides an ocular socket prosthesis comprising a hydrogel consisting essentially of a biocompatible hydrophilic polymer onto which tissues can be directly sutured. Preferably the prosthesis comprises the polymer both in its homogeneous gel form and in its sponge form, and the two forms are chemically joined at their interface via an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN). However, it is also contemplated that the prosthesis of the invention may be made predominantly or entirely from the sponge form of the polymer. Methods of production of the prosthesis of the invention and of surgical implantation are also disclosed and claimed.
