  • Patent number: 11974740
Abstract: An applicator instrument for dispensing surgical fasteners includes a housing, an elongated shaft, surgical fasteners disposed in the elongated shaft, a firing system for dispensing the surgical fasteners, a firing rod disposed within the elongated shaft and movable within a first plane, and an advancer disposed within the elongated shaft and moveable within a second plane. An actuator is coupled with the advancer for moving the advancer back and forth between retracted and extended positions. A staging assembly at the distal end of the elongated shaft aligns a leading surgical fastener with the first plane. The staging assembly includes a biasing device that is configured to be deflected away from the first plane by the advancer when the advancer is in the extended position and the staging assembly is configured to spring back into alignment with the first plane when the advancer returns back to the retracted position.

  • Patent number: 11883158
Abstract: An exit prediction system for a support apparatus receives data inputs from one or more force sensors without zeroing the one or more force sensors. Changes in the data inputs are detected to determine whether the detected changes indicate a movement trend. An exit prediction is determined based at least partially on the movement trend, and without combining the data inputs from the one or more force sensors to determine the occupant's weight. A notification is generated based on the exit prediction.

  • Publication number: 20230394317
Abstract: A method for text mining from one or more tables is provided. The method includes the steps of: receiving one or more tables, the tables having one or more table labels, and one or more cells to be processed, transforming each of the cells into cell vector representations; encoding the one or more cell vector representations with a sequential 2D model; obtaining one or more table-level vector representations by summarising the semantics of the cell vector representations by an image classification model; and mapping the output of to an output vector which represents the probability of each of the table labels.
