  • Patent number: 12509833
Abstract: This disclosure describes a snow plow assembly for a vehicle including a push frame to which a moldboard is mountable for enabling removal of snow and a lift frame configured for mounting to the vehicle. A lift device is mounted to the lift frame to vertically raise or lower the push frame and the moldboard. A first coupling and a second coupling, attaching respective left and right sides of the push frame to corresponding sides of the lift frame. The couplings each include a spring for mounting between the push frame and the lift frame, each of the springs including weldments at opposite ends of each spring for attaching to the push frame and to the lift frame. The springs provide support to the lift frame to help prevent the snow plow assembly from falling over when detached from the vehicle and to reduce movement during transport.

  • Patent number: 12312759
Abstract: A snow plow assembly has a push frame, a lift frame, and a coupling configured to attach the push frame to a lift frame. The coupling attaches the left and right sides of the push frame to the corresponding left and right sides of the lift frame, and each coupling being independently vertically floatable to allow the push frame to float vertically relative to the lift frame, while also allowing the push frame to rotate relative to the lift frame to accommodate for irregular or uneven ground surfaces. The couplings each include a bearing block that extends through an opening in the push frame and a retaining member that extends through an opening in the bearing block for operatively coupling the push frame to the lift frame. The bearing block facilitates distribution of load between the push frame and retaining member to reduce wear on the push frame.

  • Publication number: 20200283977
Abstract: A snow plow assembly having a mounting assembly including a locking mechanism for securing a snow plow frame to a mounting frame of a vehicle, and for enabling the snow plow frame to be dismounted from the vehicle mounting frame. The locking mechanism may be configured such that a locking member is biased toward a lock position when an actuator is moved in a first direction beyond a threshold position, and the locking member is biased toward a release position when the actuator is moved in an opposite direction beyond the threshold position. The locking mechanism may include a plurality of locking members that are simultaneously moved between lock and release positions when the actuator effects such simultaneous movement. The snow plow assembly may include a stand assembly having a stand that can freely drop from an elevated position to the ground when actuated to release the stand.
