Publication number: 20240021216Abstract: A system includes processing hardware and a memory storing software code. The processing hardware executes the software code to receive automation data for media content having a default playback experience, analyze, using the automation data, at least one parameter of the media content, and generate, based on the analyzing, one or more automation instruction(s) for at least one portion(s) of the media content. The automation instruction(s) include at least one of: one or more bounding timestamps of the media content portion(s), an increased or reduced playback speed for the media content portion(s) relative to the default playback experience, or a variable playback speed for the media content portion(s). The software code is further executed to outputs the automation instruction(s) to a media delivery platform configured to distribute and control the quality of the media content or to a media player configured to automate playback of the media content.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2022Publication date: January 18, 2024Inventors: Manuel Briand, Yuanyi Xue, Anthony Crowe, Scott Labrozzi, Michael Bracco, Mugdha Oltikar

Patent number: 5661624Abstract: A telephone having a semiconductor line switch TR1 is protected from excess line voltage or current by the use of current foldback techniques. A current sensing resistor R6, in series with the line switch provides a measure of the line current and this operates a bypass transistor TR4 which reduces the drive current for the line switch TR1 causing it to come out of saturation and begin to block line current. A voltage sensing resistor R7 provides a measure of the voltage across TR1 and this further increases the bypass current through TR4. This ensures that the voltage and current applied to TR1 remain within permitted limits.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1994Date of Patent: August 26, 1997Assignee: Alcatel Australia Ltd.Inventor: Kevin Anthony Crowe

Patent number: 4537737Abstract: A plasticizing screw (4) is used to feed raw material (rubber compound) in the cold state into a cylinder (2). The material is plasticized and warmed up by the screw (4). The cylinder (2) is constructed so that the raw material fed into the cylinder can by retraction of the piston flow through a non-return valve into the front of the piston. The piston then extrudes the material through a die. On leaving the die, the material is cut into blanks, using a cutting mechanism (11).Material in the cold state can be fed directly into the cylinder tanks to the plasticizing screw (4), which plasticizes and preheats the material. Volume control is achieved automatically in dependence with the advance of the piston (FIG. 1).Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1983Date of Patent: August 27, 1985Inventor: Anthony Crowe
