  • Patent number: 11536318
Abstract: An inner ring assembly for a bearing includes a bearing annular body disposable about the shaft and having a bearing inner race and a plurality of slotted openings defining a plurality of arcuate mounting tabs, the slotted openings each having a curved inner end and each tab including a substantial recess to reduce stress concentration. An annular locking collar is disposed about and clamps the mounting tabs against the outer surface of the shaft to retain the inner ring. The collar is retained on the ring body by a retainer projection(s) extending outwardly from the mounting tabs and engaging with the collar or a retainer member projecting inwardly from the collar and engaging with one of the mounting tabs. The collar has a gap and a flat outer surface section spaced from the gap to increase the dynamic balance and the flexibility of the collar.

  • Publication number: 20070063595
Abstract: An electric machine includes a rotor portion and a stator portion. The rotor portion comprises a plurality of magnets. The stator portion comprises a plurality of electromagnetic poles located at the external perimeter of the stator. A conductive winding is wrapped around the stator poles. The stator is ideally formed in an annular shape from laminated substrates. The rotor and stator are located in a common housing. A hub retains the stator to a frame. When the conductive winding is energized with an electric current, temporary magnetic poles form around the stator poles. The rotor is located opposite the stator and separated by an air gap. The rotor rotates around the stator by electromagnetic forces. A machine controller controls the operation of the electric machine.

  • Patent number: 6186891
Abstract: A regulating assembly for a controlled environment room including one or more work product openings comprising a positive pressure air chamber mounted in direct fluid communication with each of the work product openings and an airsupply assembly connected to each of the air chambers so as to supply a sufficient quantity of air thereto, such that a predetermined positive air pressure is created in each of the air chambers. The predetermined positive is at least minimally greater than the air pressure on the interior of the controlled environment room. The greater air pressure in each of the air chambers, results in concurrent paths of air flow directed from each of the air chambers into the interior of the controlled room and simultaneously outward therefrom to the surrounding environment.
