  • Publication number: 20150120585
Abstract: A method for assessing a marine mooring system while the marine mooring system is installed in water. This method ensures compliance with known marine standards and insurance guidelines. The method further uses at least one processor and various computer instructions located in a least one data storage connected to a network. Client data is obtained for the marine mooring system installed in water from a client data storage connected to a client processor. The client processor is connected to the network and stores the client data in a client profile. A dynamic mooring system model provides a risk based inspection plan for a qualitative inspection and for a quantitative inspection of the marine mooring system installed in water.

  • Patent number: 8105442
Abstract: A tubular measurement system for in service cleaning, inspecting, and measuring of a tubular, comprising: a first and second housing portion connected using hinges operable by hydraulic actuators. At least one high pressure water jet unit and a marine growth plough is disposed on a cleaning end of the housing. At least one enclosable camera block containing at least one digital camera is disposed on an inspection end of the housing. A first set of roller assemblies is disposed on the cleaning end and a second set of roller assemblies is disposed on the inspection end. A communication conduit is used to transfer signals from the digital cameras to a remote location. A hydraulic conduit and a high pressure water conduit provide hydraulic fluid and high pressure water from the remote location. A tether is used to provide a variable tension from the remote location to the housing.

  • Patent number: 8007595
Abstract: A method for in-situ cleaning and inspecting of a tubular, comprising: deploying a closable housing to a tubular, hydraulically opening the closable housing and then hydraulically closing the closable housing around the tubular. Marine growth is removed from the tubular using a marine growth plough and high pressure water from at least one high pressure water jet unit, disposed a cleaning end of the closable housing. The cleaned tubular is inspected using at least one enclosable camera block containing at least one digital camera disposed on an inspection end of the closable housing. Signals from the cameras are communicated to a remote location. Hydraulic fluid and high pressure water are provided from the remote location to the closable housing. A tether is used to roll the closable housing along the tubular for continuous in-situ cleaning and inspection of the tubular without interrupting use of the tubular.

  • Patent number: 6742037
Abstract: A dynamic information transfer system in which there are at least two targets 110 120, one of which is a mobile target 110 and among which information can be transferred. The targets 110 120 possess systems to store, process, and use information and programs in the form of an intelligent software agent (ISA) system 130 associated with each target that is capable of initiating actions and negotiating with other agents or systems in the network. The ISA system 130 includes a personal assistant device (PAD), or the like, that interacts with the user, and performs operations on the user's behalf. A Location Determination System (LDS) 140 is utilized to determine the user's geographic position and the user's direction and speed of travel, if mobile. Virtual zones 150 are used to trigger data transfers among the involved targets, events, or programs to be initiated or terminated at one of the involved targets.

  • Patent number: 6026375
Abstract: A method and system that enables service providers to receive an order from a mobile customer, receive customer location information from a location determination system, and schedule the completion of the customer's order to coincide with the customer's arrival at a local facility able to satisfy the customer's order. In one embodiment, the mobile customer is associated with a tracking device connected to a mobile location determination system that determines the customer's location, which is then given to the service provider. The service provider uses the customer's location to determine a local facility that can satisfy the customer's order. The service provider transmits the order to the local facility and schedules the fulfillment of the order to coincide with the customer's arrival at the local facility. To further expedite the order, customers may pay electronically for the service in advance.
