Abstract: An embossing seal includes a support frame having an opening at a first end thereof and a die assembly disposed in the opening of the support frame. The embossing seal includes a handle pivotally connected to the frame for moving between an extended position and a compressed position for closing the die assembly, a first link having a trailing end pivotally connected to the frame and a leading end coupled with the die assembly, and a second link having a first end pivotally connected with the handle and a second end pivotally connected with the first link. In operation, when the handle is moved from the extended position to the compressed position, the first and second links close the die. The arrangement of the first and second links provides increased leverage on the die assembly during the later stages of the compression stroke of the handle.

Abstract: A compact hand stamp is disclosed. The hand stamp may include a platen and corresponding marking structure that can be moved between a rest position, where a design on the marking structure is remote from a surface to be imprinted and is arranged at an angle of about 90 degrees with respect to the surface, and a printing position where the design of the marking structure is in contact with the surface to be imprinted. The hand stamp may also include a platen having reinking ports and a cover mounted for slidable movement over the reinking ports.

Abstract: A hand stamp that preferably includes a case, a platen secured for selective movement within the case, a stamp die retained adjacent to the platen for movement therewith between a non-marking position where the stamp die is remote from a surface to be marked and a marking position where the stamp die is pressed into contact with a surface to be marked; and a retaining member mounted on the platen in any one of a plurality of positions such that the stamp die is secured in an assembled position adjacent the platen is provided. A preferred method of assembling the hand stamp is also provided.

Abstract: The invention relates to hand stamps and methods of assembling hand stamps.
