  • Publication number: 20230172403
Abstract: A fluid dosing substrate dispenser comprises a housing with a first fluid reservoir and/or a first fluid reservoir holder configured to removably receive the first fluid reservoir and a second fluid reservoir and/or a second fluid reservoir holder configured to removably receive the second fluid reservoir. The dispenser includes a substrate advancing mechanism configured to receive substrate from a substrate source and to advance a portion of the substrate through the housing and an application mechanism configured to apply fluid from at least one of the first fluid reservoir or the second fluid reservoir to one or more portions of the substrate. A computing system is configured to select at least one of amount of fluid for application, composition of fluid for application, or portion of the substrate the fluid is applied based on an input received by the computing system indicating the user of the substrate dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20210356849
Abstract: A projection system for projecting sewing patterns onto a surface comprises a vertical beam, a projector, and a cart. The vertical beam includes (a) a floor engaging portion at a bottom end and (b) a ceiling engaging portion at a top end, the ceiling engaging portion being vertically movable with respect to the floor engaging portion such that, when in use, the floor engaging portion and the ceiling engaging portion engage a floor and a ceiling, respectively, to anchor the projection system adjacent the surface. The projector is configured to receive data representing the sewing patterns and to project the sewing patterns. The cart is operably attached to the projector and slidably attached to the vertical beam, wherein sliding the cart vertically adjusts a height of the projector above the surface.

  • Publication number: 20180289181
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a cushion and more particularly to a pillow providing cervical alignment by way of a cervical spine support structure that is positioned along a major axis of the pillow, and that can be rotated around the major axis. The pillow utilizes one or more of the following features: 1) a dimensionally correct platform for the proper sleep posture of a majority of body types on a wide array of mattress types; 2) A non-crush zone integrated cervical support roll which can be adjusted for extended durations of supportive comfort. (The roll—in and of itself—is unique compared to the standard of care because of its foam densities and its semi-hollowed out section); and 3) A sleep posture platform with a side sleeping position and a back-sleeping position. The pillow standardizes care by placement of the support roll inside a dimensionally correct platform using different materials.

  • Patent number: 10071021
Abstract: Capsule filling systems and methods of using a capsule filling system to fill one or more capsules are described herein. An example embodiment of a capsule filling system comprises a first housing, a first rotatable member, a second housing, a second rotatable member, a hinge, and a base. The first housing defines a first housing cavity and the second housing defines a second housing cavity. The first rotatable member is disposed within the first housing cavity. The second rotatable member is disposed within the second housing cavity. Movement of the first rotatable member between its first and second positions provides a mechanism for releasably attaching a first member of a capsule to the capsule filling system. Movement of the second rotatable member between its first and second positions provides a mechanism for releasably attaching a second member of a capsule to the capsule filling system.

  • Patent number: 8460352
Abstract: A temperature therapy pad for use with a person including a thermal unit for making the pad either hot or cold and a therapeutic slot extending from one side of the pad which substantially divides the pad into sections. An elastic member may extend across the slot. The therapy pad can include a strap or an adhesive for attaching the therapy pad to a user's body. The thermal unit can be an electric heating coil and include a controller. The thermal unit may also be a material which has a high specific heat capacity or a material which heats when exposed to oxygen. The thermal unit may also be in the form of two separate chemical substances which change temperature when mixed. Another embodiment is for a temperature therapy pad including a substance which presents a heating or cooling sensation to a user's skin.

  • Patent number: 7357620
Abstract: A fan assembly that can be used as a cooling fan or an air circulator. The fan assembly can provide the cooling and air circulation functions simultaneously or separately. The intensity of the cooling and/or air circulation can be individually controlled and directed. The fan assembly includes a base unit, a mounting frame rotatably coupled to the base unit, and a plurality of blower housings, each enclosing a fan and coupled to the mounting frame. The mounting frame is rotatable about an axis parallel to the support plane of the base. At least one of the blower housings is rotatably mounted to the mounting frame. The position of the blower housings can be adjusted through the manipulation of a positioning handle that is coupled to the rotatable blower housing.

  • Patent number: 7316540
Abstract: A pivot assembly that can be used with various appliances. The pivot assembly provides up to three degrees of freedom when positioning the appliance. The pivot may be used, for example, with a fan that is mounted on a base such that direction of the airflow generated can be adjusted about three coordinate axes by manipulating a single rotatable pivot mount. The fan assembly includes a base unit and an arm to which an appliance may be detachably coupled. The opposite end of the arm is provided with a spherical cap which is received by the base unit. Any adjustments to the positioning of the rotatable pivot mount are maintained by the friction within the rotatable pivot mount. Additionally, the pivot mount may include a pivot guide to restrict the degree of rotation about the pivot, thereby increasing stability.

  • Publication number: 20070243816
Abstract: An appliance assembly that can provide multiple independently positionable appliances, such as fans. The appliance assembly includes a base support, a frame coupled to the base support, and a number of appliances each contained within an appliance housing. Each appliance housing is rotatably mounted to an outer gimbal such that it is rotatable about a first axis, and each outer gimbal is mounted to the frame such that it is rotatable about a second axis. The appliance assembly can provide two degrees of freedom for positioning each of the number of appliances. The frame, outer gimbals, and appliance housing can be formed in a variety of shapes. The appliance assembly can be used, for example, with any product where it is desirable to have multiple independently positionable assemblies, such as fans, speakers, microphones, lights, and heaters.
