Publication number: 20230139841Abstract: A method of extracting and displaying postural measurements from patient data includes retrieving, by a processor of a computing device, the patient data from memory. The patient data includes a geometric mesh representation of a patient, including a plurality of data points corresponding to spatial coordinates of a plurality of vertices in three dimensions. The method also includes determining, by the processor, a reference geometry along the geometric mesh representation in a fixed position with respect to the spatial coordinates; determining, by the processor, a landmark corresponding to one of skeletal or soft tissue anatomy for the patient; and determining, by the processor, a postural deviation of a body portion of the patient by comparing the reference geometry and the landmark.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2022Publication date: May 4, 2023Inventors: Anthony DiMarco, Jeffrey Burde, Robin Galaskewicz, Shih Wei Wong, Jedrek Fulara, Christopher Merritt-Lish

Publication number: 20140142456Abstract: A patient manager provides activity recommendations to a patient based on monitored data. The patient manager monitors personal, environmental, and external data to identify baseline and personal best thresholds to determine appropriate activity recommendations for a patient that is trying to manage a disease such as asthma. A personal monitor measures a peak flow rate by having the patient blow through the personal monitor. An environmental monitor measures ambient conditions in a room and communicates the conditions with the patient manager. The patient manager also pulls in third-party regional weather information, and generates activity recommendations based on the personal, environmental, and regional information.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2013Publication date: May 22, 2014Inventors: Matthew Eric Fischer, Anthony DiMarco, Daniel Nicholas Kirk, Rajakumaran Kuppusamy, Jacqueline Nicole Rogers, Jesse Scott Swift

Patent number: 7955004Abstract: A fiber optic furcation method for fiber optic cables having a plurality of optical fibers and a fiber optic junction made by said method. The method comprises the steps of threading each optical fiber into a separate fiber optic cable forming a junction; placing a first tube around the junction so that the tube covers the reinforcing members of the fiber optic cables; folding reinforcing fibers from the fiber optic cables over the first tube; applying an adhesive to the reinforcing fibers; placing a second tube around the junction; and shrink wrapping the junction.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2008Date of Patent: June 7, 2011Assignee: FiberSource, Inc.Inventor: Brian Anthony DiMarco

Patent number: 7712973Abstract: A connector for fiber optic cable comprising a one-piece body having a plurality of holes in a first end dimensioned to receive an optical fiber and reinforcing members. The connector comes preassembled with a ferrule connector at the opposing end. The first end has a slot therein dividing the first end and holes into two halves. A crimp sleeve is crimped to the connector body, compressing the first end of the connector body and thereby gripping the reinforcing members. Reinforcing fibers are crimped between the connector body and crimping sleeve.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2008Date of Patent: May 11, 2010Assignee: FiberSource, Inc.Inventor: Brian Anthony DiMarco

Publication number: 20060116894Abstract: A multi-purpose talent management and career management system for connecting buyers and sellers of talent, directly or via intermediaries such as recruiters, through the use of visual and persistent talent pools. Individual hiring managers and recruiters can create and manage their own talent pools of highly attractive active and passive job seekers that they wish to consider for current or future job opportunities. These talent pools are created simply by adding an individual's visual career history to the talent pool. The hiring manager or recruiter can easily create job opportunity profiles and send them simultaneously to one or many people in their talent pool. Individuals receive these job opportunities and can quickly review them and respond to them while maintaining complete control over their anonymity and accessibility.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2004Publication date: June 1, 2006Inventor: Anthony DiMarco

Patent number: 6556611Abstract: A diode laser comprises a laser cavity defining a linear optical-path axis, and a current-pumped stripe region, said current-pumped stripe region being disposed within said laser cavity. The laser cavity includes an output surface perpendicular to the optical axis; and a reflection surface including a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) grating and being disposed at a non-perpendicular angle to the optical-path axis.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 1999Date of Patent: April 29, 2003Assignee: Princeton Lightwave, Inc.Inventors: Viktor Borisovich Khalfin, Dmitri Zalmanovich Garbuzov, Louis Anthony DiMarco, John Charles Connolly

Patent number: 6459715Abstract: An apparatus includes a single-mode master-oscillator section and a power amplifier section. The single-mode master-oscillator section includes a waveguide defined by a first end and a second end, the first end including a first distributed Bragg reflector mirror, and the second end including a second distributed Bragg reflector mirror. The single-mode-master-oscillator section also has a first longitudinal axis. The power amplifier section is a broad-contact amplifier coupled to the single-mode-master-oscillator section by a coupling grating that is contained in the waveguide of the single-mode-master-oscillator section. The broad contact amplifier section includes a reflection side, an output side and a second longitudinal axis, the second longitudinal axis being at an angle approximately (90°−&bgr;) to said first longitudinal axis, &bgr; being in a range between 0° and approximately 20°.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 2000Date of Patent: October 1, 2002Assignee: Princeton Lightwave, Inc.Inventors: Viktor Borisovich Khalfin, Dmitri Zalmanovich Garbuzov, Louis Anthony DiMarco, John Charles Connolly

Patent number: 5895423Abstract: An attachable two-chamber breast prosthesis includes two volumes of silicone materials that have different degrees of softness. The prosthesis includes three pieces of polyurethane film (a front film, a middle film, and a rear film) that form a front chamber and rear chamber. The periphery of the front chamber is smaller than the periphery of the rear chamber. The rear chamber, which contains the firmer silicone material, extends to the peripheral edge of the prosthesis. The front chamber, which contains the softer silicone material, does not extend all the way to the peripheral edge along the upper region of the prosthesis. By increasing the thickness of the rear chamber along a boomerang-shaped region defined by the peripheries of the front and rear chambers, the firmer silicone material in the rear chamber provides the prosthesis with proper support and reduces the tendency of the prosthesis to pull away from the skin along the top edge of the prosthesis.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1997Date of Patent: April 20, 1999Assignee: Coloplast CorporationInventors: Anne Roesler Becker, Michael Anthony DiMarco, Diane Taryn-Leigh Hodgkins, Louis F. Malice, Jr.
