  • Publication number: 20190188910
Abstract: Teleporting a virtual position of a user in a virtual environment to a teleportable point of a virtual object shown in the virtual environment. Particular systems and methods identify a virtual object, determine teleportable points of the virtual object, detect intent by the user to relocate a virtual position of the user to a first teleportable point of the teleportable points, and relocate the virtual position of the user to the first teleportable point.

  • Publication number: 20190180506
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for modifying a virtual object in a virtual environment are provided. The method can include receiving at one or more processors, an identification of the virtual object within the virtual environment. The method can include receiving, from a first user device communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, an annotation including one or more changes to be applied to the virtual object. The method can include determining a type of the one or more changes based on the annotation. The method can include determining a location of the one or more changes to the virtual object based on the annotation. The method can include causing the virtual object to be modified as a modified virtual object using a computer-aided design (CAD) software program to implement the changes indicated in the annotation and displaying the modified virtual object within the virtual environment.

  • Publication number: 20190130633
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for displaying a virtual environment on a user device are provided. The method can include determining outer dimensions of a cutting volume. The method can include determining when the cutting volume occupies the same space as a first portion of a virtual object in the virtual environment. The virtual object having a plurality of components internal to the virtual object. The method can include identifying a first group of the plurality of components inside the cutting volume and/or identifying a second group of the plurality of components outside the cutting volume based on the outer dimensions. The method can include causing the user device to display one of the first group and the second group on a display of the user device based on the outer dimensions.

  • Publication number: 20190130648
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for displaying an augmented reality environment are disclosed. The method can include generating a geospatial map of a physical environment indicating a relative position of the one or more physical objects to a position of a first device of a first user, determining one or more candidate locations within the physical environment for projecting an avatar of a second user based on the geospatial map of the physical environment, and causing the first device to display the avatar of the second user at a selected candidate location of the one or more candidate locations.

  • Publication number: 20190132375
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for managing files associated with a virtual object in a virtual environment are provided. The method can include receiving, at a server, a file including data related to the virtual object for transfer to a user device communicatively coupled to the server. The method can include determining, by the server, a maximum file size that the user device can receive. The method can include dividing the file into n different transmission files if a size of the file is greater than the maximum file size. The method can include transmitting the n different transmission files to the user device in a priority order based on viewpoint of the user device related to the virtual object.

  • Publication number: 20190130656
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for adding annotations to a virtual object in a virtual environment are provided. The method can include determining, at a server, that a virtual tool within the virtual environment operated via a first user device intersects the virtual object at a first location. The method can include receiving, at the server, an indication of a selection of an annotation option at the first user device to generate the annotation on the virtual object. If the indication is associated with creating a drawing, the method can include saving the first location to the memory, detecting movement of the tool within the virtual environment, saving the drawing based on the movement of the tool to a memory, and displaying, via the first user device, the drawing at the first location.
