  • Publication number: 20170267060
Abstract: A motorcycle cooling system that includes a controller, a sensing member for sensing at least one environmental condition and that is in communication with the controller, and a fan assembly. The fan assembly includes a shroud having an inner surface that defines a central opening extending therethrough, and a fan in airflow communication with the central opening. The fan is configured to move air through the central opening from a first end to a second end of the shroud. The fan is in communication with the controller. The controller turns the fan on when a first environmental condition is sensed by the sensing member and the controller turns the fan off when a second environmental condition is sensed by the sensing member.

  • Publication number: 20160227848
Abstract: An apparel liner that includes first and second panels that define a liner interior and an air inlet. The first panel includes a first set of openings defined therethrough that are in communication with the liner interior. A first airflow path is defined between the air inlet, the liner interior and the first set of openings in the inner panel. A volume of air can flow in through the air inlet, through the liner interior and out through any one of the first set of openings in the first panel. The first panel includes a second set of openings and the second panel includes a first set of openings. Each of the second set of openings is communicated with one of the first set of openings in the second panel. A second airflow path is defined in through the second set of openings and out through the first set of openings in the second panel.

  • Patent number: 9220306
Abstract: An apparel liner for cooling is provided. The apparel liner includes a liner for a user's outer garment, formed from three layers. The first panel is in contact with the wearer's outer clothing, the second panel is spacer fabric having thickness and cellular structure. The second spacer panel is disposed over the first panel. The third panel faces the wearer's clothing (e.g. a shirt) under the outer garment. Holes are distributed over the surface of the third panel. All three layers may be sewn or fixed into a single fabric. An air inlet fitting is provided near the waistband for attachment of an air distribution hose. This air distribution hose is then connected to an air movement device.

  • Patent number: 8482412
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method and apparatus for reducing time expended on non-value added tasks during assembly of an aircraft is provided. A RFID tag reading function of a RFID tag reader integrated into user apparel is enabled. The RFID tag reader comprises a set of touch activation components integrated into the user apparel. A touch activation component in the set of touch activation components is pressed against a surface in proximity of a RFID tag associated with an aircraft component. The RFID tag reader transmits an interrogate signal to an RFID tag associated with the aircraft component. The user observes a display device coupled to the RFID tag reader integrated into the user apparel, wherein the display device displays RFID tag information received from the RFID tag in response to the interrogate signal. The RFID tag information comprises data describing the aircraft component. The user receives the RFID tag information without interrupting an assembly task.

  • Patent number: 7778794
Abstract: A system and method are provided in which an element of a structure may be reliably identified. For example, a system may include a part selection element configured to interact with at least one positional marker having a predefined location. The part selection element is also configured to select at least a portion of a structure, with the structure being positioned at a predetermined location and orientation. The part selection element may also be configured to identify a depth within the structure. The system also includes a computing device configured to identify an element of the structure based upon the position and orientation of the part selection element and the portion of the structure selected by the part selection element. In instances in which a depth is identified, the computing device may also be configured to identify the element of the structure at the depth identified within the structure.
