Abstract: A nail clipping cylinder provides a layer of memory foam upon which the tip of the finger or thumb rests when inserted, a blade and one or more sensors which detect the presence of the finger or thumb, extend grippers to gently hold the tip of the finger or toe, detect the contours of the portion of the nail which is to be removed, and position the blade as necessary to trim and remove that portion. Preferably, this detection and positioning system is comprised of a fiber-optic camera, image recognition software, and a servomotor. The user may then press a button to activate the blade. The nail is safely trimmed and the clipping is retained by the cylinder for later disposal. The cylinder is manufactured entirely from recycled materials.

Abstract: Removable large wheels for a luggage case, having two permanent sleeves inserted in holes drilled in the pre-existing small wheel mounting blocks which contain the pre-existing small wheels. Two axles, one in each of the sleeves, with a permanent stop at the inner end of each axle and a spring loaded button at the outer end of each axle. The large wheels have an extended tubular part at the hub on the inner side of each wheel which prevents the wheel from touching the outer edge of the luggage when installed. The axle can be extended outward to accept the large wheel, which is maintained on the axle by a spring loaded button. When not in use, the axle can be retracted back into the sleeve. When retracted the axles are prevented from moving in either direction by the pressure of the spring loaded buttons against the inner wall of the sleeves.

Abstract: This invention is simply to add a second battery to any vehicle which requires a battery to start the engine. It is simply a reserve source of energy for the times when the primary battery of a vehicle for whatever reason has lost it's charge and needs a boost to start the vehicle and build up a new charge.

Abstract: Methods, devices, systems and computer program products for providing secure communications between managed devices in a firewall protected area defined by a firewall and a network management station (NMS) in a network segregated from the firewall protected area are provided. Management information associated with managed devices in the firewall protected area is obtained from the managed devices by a de-militarized zone (DMZ) controller. The obtained management information is transmitted from the DMZ controller through the firewall to a gateway module associated with the NMS. Communications between the DMZ controller and the gateway module are enabled by a single firewall rule.

Abstract: A diesel fuel filter has a filter element which incorporates or is constituted by a heater made of an electrically conductive fabric which heats at least the inlet side surface of the filter element. A filter element formed entirely from the electrically conductive fabric can be used to protect a lift pump 12 while a filter element made of layers of fine mesh filter material and an electrically conductive material of coarser mesh is better suited for the primary fuel filter 16 located upstream of the fuel injection pump 18.

Abstract: An acrylic material such as Plexiglas, which allows an incoming television satellite signal or transmission to pass through it, is used instead of glass between the satellite signal and the satellite dish which is mounted within the structure or dwelling facing the satellite making it possible to receive a satellite signal without mounting a satellite dish on the outside wall or on top of the structure.
