  • Publication number: 20240101503
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of diverse known and novel cannabinoids 5, which include cannabigerol (CBG, 1), cannabigerolic acid (CBGA, 2), cannabigerovarin (CBGV, 3), cannabigerovarinic acid (CBGVA, 4) and other naturally occurring monocyclic cannabinoids and other analogues from simple inexpensive starting materials using a cascade sequence of allylic rearrangement and aromatization. Novel cannabinoids of series 5 are also claimed as part of the invention. These synthesized cannabinoids, unlike the minor cannabinoids isolated from Cannabis saliva or synthesized from the condensation reactions such as the reactions of substituted resorcinols with monoterpenes, are much easier to obtain at high purity levels. In particular, these cannabinoids, including but not limited to cannabigerol (CBG, 1), cannabigerolic acid (CBGA, 2), cannabigerovarin (CBGV, 3) and cannabigerovarinic acid (CBGVA, 4) are obtained without contamination with impurities with variation in RA and RB (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20240078914
Abstract: An on-board navigation system for an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operating in an unknown environment. A point-cloud sensor system generates point cloud data representing the unknown environment. An on-board processing system processes the point cloud data to generate both a 2-D occupancy grid and a 3-D voxel map, with the 2-D occupancy grid having cells with known (seen) and unknown data. Additional processing determines an amount of known-to-unknown (transitional) data in each cell, thereby determining unexplored regions. A cost is assigned to each unexplored region, based at least in part on the amount of transitional data in cells of the region. The unexplored regions are then sorted based on their costs, thereby determining an optimal region to explore. The 3-D voxel map is used to find a safe area within the optimal region where the UAS may fly. A flight path to the optimal region is then calculated.

  • Patent number: 8813974
Abstract: A vibrating centrifuge having a separation screen that is rotated and vibrated to separate a material, typically slurry (e.g. coal slurry). The separation screen is vibrated by a vibrator, such as an unbalanced motor. One or more constraint members, preferably leaf springs, are provided that restrict vibration generated by the vibrator to a single degree of freedom that is parallel to the drive shaft axis. The vibrating centrifuge has a biasing member in the form of a compression spring to tune the vibration frequency. Optionally a tuning mass can also be used to tune the vibration frequency.

  • Patent number: 7384078
Abstract: A nut and seat assembly is provided for a clamp. A nut is tightened onto a bolt and a clamp member has a seat for the nut and an aperture defined by prongs. The bolt is inserted laterally into the aperture and the nut is tightened axially against the set. Tightening the nut onto the seat prevents outward movement of the prongs away from the bolt as the nut holds the prongs in place.

  • Patent number: 7149632
Abstract: A method comprises storing data relating to the wear of a component of at least one turbine system in a database of a system for processing wear related information, generating a displayable menu containing a plurality of user-selectable links respectively associated with software modules of the system, and receiving an on-line selection of one of the user-selectable links to enable the associated software module of the system to generate displayable content including information relating to the wear of the component of the turbine system. The selected module may enable a quantitative amount of the wear of the component or qualitative wear range characterizing the amount of the wear of the component to be input and received on-line. Alternatively, the selected module may enable a component type to be input and received on-line and display a component fleet leader.

  • Patent number: 6983599
Abstract: A turbine engine combustor member, for example a deflector including an inner surface at a combustor interior and an outer surface away from such interior includes a body of a high temperature alloy having properties combining resistance to hot corrosion in March=1 flows and oxidation to avoid coating the outer surface. In one embodiment, the inner surface includes an environmental resistant coating comprising a ceramic-base thermal barrier coating. In some forms such coating includes an inner coating including Al under the ceramic-base coating. In another embodiment, the member includes air cooling passages and is substantially uncoated. Provision of such a member enables complete combustor assembly including a plurality of members and then coating all inner surfaces concurrently rather than individually before assembly.

  • Patent number: 5644101
Abstract: A shield assembly for installation on a portion of a printed circuit board is presented. The shield (16) assembly includes shield mounted on the component mounting side of the printed circuit board and has a plurality of support projections (30) inserted through apertures of the printed circuit board to the conductor side where they are mechanically secured and electrically connected to a reference potential. A first shield cover (22) is mounted to the shield at a peripheral edge distal of the printed circuit board. A second shield cover (34) is disposed at the conductor side of the printed circuit board. The second shield cover (34) is provided with two pluralities of protrusions (32, 42). The first plurality of protrusions (32) extends through apertures in the printed circuit board to engage the body of the shield. The second plurality of protrusions (42) engages respective support projections (30) of the shield.

  • Patent number: 4204780
Abstract: In a typewriter of the kind having a carriage movable vertically relative to the type bar assembly to provide three cases of type, the carriage rests on a shift member slidable vertically in guides formed in the body of the typewriter and a spring acts between the body and the shift member biassing the shift member to an intermediate position. One shift key moves the shift member to a lowermost position, overcoming the spring bias, and a second shift key moves the shift member to an uppermost position, overcoming the weight of the carriage.
