The at least one disk system controller may be configured to create a plurality of zones in the pool of storage, each zone comprising a plurality of stripes, each of the plurality of stripes striped across all of the physical disks within a logical disk comprising the zone, and manage pages of write input/output operations in order to group pages of write input/output operations together within the plurality of stripes of a zone.
