  • Publication number: 20240134727
Abstract: A storage device write-read error reduction system includes a computing device that includes a storage device. The storage device determines, at a temperature that is within a predefined temperature range, that a storage device background operation should be performed and, in response, identifies data that is stored in the storage device and that was written to the storage device outside the predefined temperature range. The storage device then prioritizes the data that was written to the storage device outside the predefined temperature range over data that was written to the storage device within the predefined temperature range and, based on that prioritization, performs the storage device background operation to rewrite the data to the storage device.

  • Publication number: 20240126237
Abstract: A storage device self-heating system includes a storage device having a processing system, a storage subsystem, and at least one heat transfer subsystem coupled between the processing system and the storage subsystem. The storage device determines that a temperature of the storage subsystem is below a temperature threshold and, in response, uses the processing system to perform a plurality of computations that are configured to generate an amount of heat that, when transferred via the heat transfer subsystem(s), raises the temperature of the storage subsystem. The heat transfer subsystem(s) transfer heat generated via the performance of the plurality of computations to the storage subsystem, and when the storage device determines that the temperature of the storage subsystem is above the temperature threshold, it performs at least one storage operation.

  • Patent number: 11725052
Abstract: The present disclosure provides antibodies and antigen-binding fragments thereof that specifically bind to human PAR-2 and compositions comprising such antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof. In a particular aspect, the antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof that specifically bind to human PAR-2 block the interaction between a PAR-2 activating ligand and an extracellular domain of PAR-2, and/or blocks PAR-2 activation by a PAR-2 activating ligand, In further aspects, the antibodies or antigen-binding fragments can be used to treat diseases or conditions associated with increased expression of PAR-2 and/or diseases or conditions that can be alleviated by antagonizing activation of PAR-2 by a PAR-2 activating ligand (e.g., airway diseases, skin diseases, cancer, orofacial granulomatosis, inflammatory conditions, and pain associated with various diseases or conditions).

  • Publication number: 20230253777
Abstract: An electronic protection system includes an electronic protection IC, mains power lines including a line rail and a neutral rail, a power switch, and a current sense device. A load is coupled with the mains power lines via the power switch and the current sense device. The electronic protection circuit turns off the power switch within eighty (80) milliseconds from a zero crossing in power delivered by the mains power lines when a load current is too high. A dummy DAC supplies a dummy current to prevent instability resulting from positive feedback during a change between a first state and a second state. The system may include an overcurrent detection circuit with a sense input, a comparator, a latch, and a pulse generator, configured to output a train of pulses with a low duty cycle when a current amplitude exceeds a reference value.

  • Patent number: 11670935
Abstract: A protection IC protects an external load connected to mains supply lines from dangerous or undesired conditions such as overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent, by disconnecting the external load for at least the duration of such a condition. The IC has a range detector, a zero-crossing detector, a control unit, a switch driver, and a dummy DAC. The range detector senses the presence of an unwanted condition. The control unit then waits for a zero crossing, upon which it disconnects the load. A lockout timer may introduce a minimum wait time before reconnecting the load. To prevent instabilities around the switching points, hysteresis in the window thresholds prevents impact from noise. The dummy DAC regulates a dummy current that linearizes the IC's current consumption around the switching points to prevent instabilities caused by positive feedback in non-linear transitions.

  • Patent number: 11591849
Abstract: A brake arrangement, for a retractable screen arrangement in which the a screen roller applies a retraction force to the screen and brake arrangement, includes a brake arrangement, for providing a braking force between the brake arrangement and a track which guides the brake arrangement, to resist retraction. The brake arrangement provides a brake member with a friction surface for contacting the bearing surface; a brake member support for supporting the brake member; and a forcing arrangement for forcing the friction surface against the bearing surface. The forcing arrangement includes a biasing arrangement for biasing the friction surface onto the bearing surface, and a force-increasing arrangement for increasing the force with which the friction surface engages the bearing surface. The force increasing arrangement converts a frictional force between the friction surface and the track into additional contact pressure force of the friction surface onto the guide track.
