Patent number: 11591849Abstract: A brake arrangement, for a retractable screen arrangement in which the a screen roller applies a retraction force to the screen and brake arrangement, includes a brake arrangement, for providing a braking force between the brake arrangement and a track which guides the brake arrangement, to resist retraction. The brake arrangement provides a brake member with a friction surface for contacting the bearing surface; a brake member support for supporting the brake member; and a forcing arrangement for forcing the friction surface against the bearing surface. The forcing arrangement includes a biasing arrangement for biasing the friction surface onto the bearing surface, and a force-increasing arrangement for increasing the force with which the friction surface engages the bearing surface. The force increasing arrangement converts a frictional force between the friction surface and the track into additional contact pressure force of the friction surface onto the guide track.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2019Date of Patent: February 28, 2023Inventors: Anthony Gerard Roberts, Aaron Rodd

Patent number: 10731412Abstract: An upper guide track assembly for a retractable screen is described. The assembly comprises a U shaped guide channel, a track attachment member for attaching the assembly to a support, a track outer member connectable to the attachment member and a screen retaining member within the guide channel. The retaining member receives and retains an upper edge of a screen. The retaining member has two resilient wings extending from either side of the body. Each wing is biased towards a position in which the distal end of each wing is away from the body. The wings are moveable against the bias to a retracted position. When the retaining member is retained in the guide channel, each wing is held in the retracted position against the bias. This allows an upper edge of a screen retained by the screen retaining member to be biased in the vertical direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2017Date of Patent: August 4, 2020Assignee: INFINITY RETRACTABLE SCREENS PTY LTDInventors: Anthony Gerard Roberts, Aaron Rodd

Patent number: 10526842Abstract: A mounting arrangement comprised of a first component for attachment to a support, and a second component supportable by the first component. The first component has a first side which is in use distal from the second component and provides a supporting portion spaced from the first side. The second component provides an engagement portion for engagement with the supporting portion. The mounting arrangement provides a restraining part moveable between a restraining configuration for restraining disengagement of the engagement portion from the supporting portion, and a release configuration for allowing disengagement of the engagement portion from the supporting portion. The mounting arrangement further provides a securing component which is insertable between the second component and the first side of the first component to restrict disengagement of the engagement portion from the supporting portion.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2015Date of Patent: January 7, 2020Assignee: INFINITY RETRACTABLE SCREENS PTY LTDInventor: Anthony Gerard Roberts

Publication number: 20180148975Abstract: The disclosure relates to the field of providing a flexible screen which is extensible and retractable across an opening. It is desirable to provide a bottom guide track which is convenient to fit and with a low profile. The disclosed guide track arrangement provides an elongate mounting member for securing to a support that forms part of the opening, and which provides at least one elongate connection recess; and an elongate track member, formed separately from and attachable to the mounting member, and having a track region with an elongate guide recess for slidingly retaining an edge of a flexible screen. The track member has at least one engagement part engageable into the complementary connection recess by lateral movement of the track member to connect the track member to the mounting member.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2017Publication date: May 31, 2018Applicant: INFINITY RETRACTABLE SCREENS PTY LTDInventors: Anthony Gerard Roberts, Aaron Rodd
