    Abstract: A multi wide area network (WAN) media content router, remotely controlled, and located from client reception stations, that enables video stream and multimedia content reception from terrestrial, satellite, internet protocol (IP) sources, 3G, and 4G. The router receives a plurality of direct transport streams from these different transmission media types without compression and routes these signals based upon predetermined protocol. The router receives multiple signals, discerns among the signals of different transmission media types, assesses the quality of the signals received, and delivers the highest quality signal to several multiplexed channels as an output in the form of a transport stream or packet data to a plurality of clients.
