  • Patent number: 9689334
Abstract: An air intake system includes a pre-cleaner having a plurality of tubes configured to receive a flow of air, to filter particulate material from the flow of air, and to provide the flow of air to an engine of an off-road vehicle. The system also includes a controller configured to receive a first signal indicative of an air intake flow rate of the engine, to determine a target number of open tubes for the pre-cleaner based at least in part on the air intake flow rate and a desired air flow rate for each tube of the plurality of tubes, and to output a second signal to a component of the air intake system indicative of instructions to enable the flow of air to the target number of open tubes and to block the flow of air to the remainder of tubes of the plurality of tubes.

  • Publication number: 20170174091
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods for removing and replacing a battery from within an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). In particular, systems and methods described herein enable a battery arm within a UAV ground station (UAVGS) to engage the UAV and a battery assembly within the UAV to unlock the battery assembly and remove the battery assembly from within the UAV. For example, the battery arm can include a latch engagement assembly that engages one or more latches on the UAV to unlock the battery assembly. Additionally, the battery arm can include a battery gripping assembly that grips an outer end of the battery assembly while retracting and removing the battery assembly from within the UAV.

  • Publication number: 20150379266
Abstract: Improved techniques can be used to identify illegitimate non-human user software that is accessing content. For example, a method of identifying non-human user software of computerized devices may comprise receiving information relating to attributes relevant to the indication of non-human user software activity from a plurality of computerized devices, wherein at least a portion of the computerized devices are known to be infected with at least one non-human user software, and at least a portion of the computerized devices are known not to be infected with a non-human user software, selection as factors a plurality of the attributes based on a correlation of the attribute with the presence of non-human user software activity, computing a score for each factor indicating a likelihood of non-human user software infection for that factor, computing a combined score based on the scores of the individual factors, the combined score indicating a combined likelihood of non-human user software infection.

  • Patent number: 9110006
Abstract: A spectrometer comprising an optical cavity, a light source capable of producing light at one or more wavelengths transmitted by the cavity and with the light directed at the cavity, a detector and optics positioned to collect light transmitted by the cavity, feedback electronics causing oscillation of amplitude of the optical signal on the detector at a frequency that depends on cavity losses, and a sensor measuring the oscillation frequency to determine the cavity losses.

  • Patent number: 5564729
Abstract: A combined tether and support for a snowboard includes an adjustable support strap that is releasably connected at its upper end to a harness worn on the body of the user and releasably connected at its lower end to a snowboard to support the weight of the snowboard when the user is riding a chair lift. A short tether extends between the support strap and a lower leg portion of the user to tether the snowboard to the user when the snowboard is being ridden. Adjustment of the length of the support strap enables the user to ride the snowboard normally when the strap is lengthened, and supports the weight of the snowboard when the strap is shortened and the user is sitting on a chair lift. Quick-connect couplings are provided between the support strap, snowboard and harness.
