  • Patent number: 10870594
Abstract: A method of treating flowback and produced water includes transferring flowback and produced water to a chemical treatment apparatus, mixing treatment chemicals with the flowback and produced water, transferring the mixture of treatment chemicals and flowback and produced water to a weir tank comprising a first end, a second end, an internal chamber, and a plurality of baffles positioned throughout the internal chamber to induce turbulent flow, transferring the mixture of treatment chemicals and flowback and produced water to a first settling tank that provides laminar flow, and transferring the mixture of treatment chemicals and flowback and produced water to a second settling tank that provides laminar flow.

  • Patent number: 10160672
Abstract: A mobile water re-use system can include a chemical treatment apparatus, at least one weir tank in fluid communication with the chemical treatment apparatus, and two or more settling tanks in fluid communication with each other and at least one of the settling tanks in fluid communication with the weir tank. The weir tank can have a first end, a second end, an internal chamber, and a plurality of baffles that induce turbulent flow of fluid through the internal chamber. The settling tanks can provide, promote, facilitate, result in, and/or induce laminar flow of fluid through at least a portion of the internal chamber. Weir tanks, settling tanks, and method of treating flowback and produced water are also described.

  • Publication number: 20180022595
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, system, and apparatus for verifying a groundwire connection prior to transferring a fluid between a tank and a reservoir. The system includes a grounding unit configured to electrically ground the vehicle when the groundwire is connected thereto, at least one conduit adapted to connect the tank to transfer the fluid to or from the tank, an automated valve adapted to be connected to the at least one conduit, the automated valve configured to open and close to restrict the flow of fluid through the conduit, and at least one processor in communication with the automated valve, the at least one processor programmed or configured to: determine if the groundwire is connected to the grounding unit; and in response to determining that the groundwire is connected to the grounding unit, causing the automated valve to open.

  • Patent number: 9776850
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, system, and apparatus for verifying a groundwire connection prior to transferring a fluid between a tank and a reservoir. The system may comprise a vehicle comprising a tank and a groundwire, the groundwire comprising a first communicating member, a grounding unit configured to electrically ground the vehicle when the groundwire is connected thereto, the grounding unit comprising a second communicating member, and at least one processor in communication with at least one of the first communicating member and the second communicating member. The at least one processor may be configured to determine whether the groundwire is connected to the grounding unit, and facilitate fluid transfer between the tank and the reservoir based at least partially on the determination.
