  • Publication number: 20150310484
Abstract: Methods and systems for tracking a user's engagement with an object on an electronic page, such as an ad, are provided. An electronic page have an associated ad is loaded in an application, such as a browser or another native application, on a user computing device. The user computing device determines whether the user is actively engaged with the electronic page while the ad is in view on the display of the user computing device. When a reporting condition is met, the user computing device transmits data representing the result of the determinations obtained over a reporting period to an external computing device. The functionalities for tracking the user's active engagement with the ad can be provided by an ad-tracking code embedded in a webpage retrieved from a publisher's website, or by a component or module of a native application installed on the user computing device.

  • Patent number: 7977849
Abstract: An electronic drive system for a droplet spray generation device has a droplet generator with a perforate membrane driven by a piezoelectric transducer. An electronic circuit controls a power supply to control the charging of a capacitor to supply a drive signal to the piezoelectric transducer. The electronic circuit is arranged to control the operation of the power amplifier at substantially its resonant frequency.

  • Publication number: 20110102537
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for implementing thermal printing techniques onto thermally sensitive print media use one or more laser arrays to provide optical heating. Thermal management of the laser arrays is described. Techniques for alignment of multiple monolithic arrays onto a common carrier are described. Various output optics are described.

  • Publication number: 20100140291
Abstract: An electronic drive system for a droplet spray generation device (10) has a droplet generator (II) with a perforate membrane (32) driven by a piezoelectric transducer (31). An electronic circuit controls a power supply (21) to control the charging of a capacitor (22) to a supply voltage providing power to a power amplifier (23) connected to receive electric power from the capacitor and supply a drive signal to the piezoelectric transducer.

  • Patent number: 7550897
Abstract: An electronic drive system for a droplet spay generation device of the type having a droplet generator including a perforate membrane driven by a piezoelectric transducer, the electronic drive system comprising: a programmable micro-controller providing a power supply for converting, in use, a battery supply voltage to power the device; a power amplifier connected to receive electric power from the power supply and supply a drive signal to the piezoelectric generator in use; and wherein the micro-controller is also arranged: to control the operation of the power amplifier, including the drive signal operating frequency at substantially its resonant frequency; to measure the current provided to the power amplifier by the power supply at a plurality of different frequencies; to determine, as the resonant frequency of the droplet generator, the frequency at which the maximum power is consumed by the amplifier, and to set the drive signal operating frequency at the resonant frequency.

  • Patent number: 6634740
Abstract: An electrically operated consumable module to be inserted into a holder of an electronic appliance, in particular an ink cartridge for the printing device of a franking machine, has a consumable device, electrical connecting elements which are connected thereto and which have contact elements to connect the consumable module to a consumable-module controller of the electronic appliance. The consumable module also has a projection to interact with the holder to prevent an insertion into other types of holders. The connecting elements are configured and/or assigned to the projection in such a way that they are at least partly destroyed in the event of an unauthorized removal of the projection.
