  • Patent number: 11957986
Abstract: There is a need to dynamically determine one or more levels of difficulty for a computer program associated with one or more levels of difficulty for a computer program associated with one or more dynamic difficulty tasks. In one example, embodiments comprise, during a user interaction session with a computer program, receiving a physiological evaluation data object. One or more physiological difficulty levels may be determined based at least in part on the physiological evaluation data object. One or more program control parameter values for one or more program control parameters may be determined based at least in part on the one or more physiological difficulty levels. User interface data for the computer program may be generated to enable rendering of an in-program experience of the computer program as adjusted by the one or more program control parameter values.

  • Patent number: 10920711
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a water jacket diverter. In one example, the water jacket diverter may be formed by injection molding and includes features such as cut-outs, an inlet ledge, a continuous upper rail, and one or more fins. The water jacket diverter may increase coolant flow in an upper portion of the water jacket, thereby increasing a cooling efficiency at an upper region of a cylinder block.

  • Patent number: 6498038
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for determining alcohol intake or alcohol induced liver damage in a subject by quantifying the content of sialic acid in apolipoprotein J (Apo J). In particular the present invention involves the steps of (a) providing a sample containing Apo J from a subject; (b) purifying the Apo J from the sample; (c) determining sialylation index, i.e., moles of sialic acid peer mole of Apo J in the sample; and (d) evaluating whether the sialylation index is an indication of alcohol intake or alcohol related liver damage recovery from alcohol addiction or alcohol relapse in the subject.

  • Patent number: 5854701
Abstract: A head-end station (1) is provided for a passive optical network system arranged to transmit downstream TDMA frames and receive upstream TDMA frames. The head-end station (1) comprises a TDMA master (5) and a plurality of optical stages (4a, 4b) connected in common to the TDMA master (5). The TDMA master (5) assembles incoming data into downstream TDMA frames and demultiplexes upstream TDMA frames. Each optical stage (4a, 4b) is arranged to be connected to a different respective fiber network (3a, 3b) and includes an optical transmitter which modulates an optical signal with downstream TDMA frames from the TDMA master (5) together with an optical receiver arranged to detect an optical signal carrying upstream TDMA frames.
