  • Patent number: 8015454
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for monitoring and managing data transactions, such as SQL transactions. In certain examples, a management subsystem generates an alert identifying degrading database transactions to facilitate preventative tuning or other maintenance. In particular, a monitor module tracks performance measurements (e.g., logical reads) of select transactions. A modeler correlates the performance measurements and assigns first performance model(s) to represent the performance measurements and predicted performance measurements of a particular transaction. A trend change module detects a significant change in a trend and/or variance of the performance measurements and can cause the modeler module to generate a second performance model to represent at least a portion of the performance measurements and the predicted performance measurements of the particular transaction.

  • Publication number: 20110184416
Abstract: Surgical constructs pre-assembled for insertion as a unit into a patient. The pre-assembled construct may include an elongated member with opposing first and second ends. The construct may also include a connector with a body, a first receptacle that extends through the body and receives the elongated member, a threaded aperture that extends from an exterior of the body into the first receptacle, a fastener threaded into the threaded aperture, and a second receptacle that receives a structural member in the patient. The first receptacle may be larger than the elongated member for the connector to be movable along the elongated member. The construct may also include retaining members permanently attached to each of the first and second ends of the elongated member. The retaining members may include a central opening with an inner radial surface that contacts the elongated member and an outer radial surface that extends outward beyond the elongated member.

  • Patent number: 7303795
Abstract: Bottles, containers and other articles are formed from polypropylene compositions that include a reheating agent, such as antimony, carbon black, graphite, titanium, copper, manganese, iron, tungsten, graphite, infra-red absorbing dyes or other infra-red absorbing material. The reheating time for the polypropylene composition is shortened for injection stretch blow molding or thermoforming, and the polypropylene granule composition with reheating agent has an L* value of at least 80% of the L* value for a polypropylene granule control without added reheating agents as measured by the Gardner color test. The reheating agent may be incorporated into the polypropylene composition by in situ chemical reduction of a metal compound, such as antimony triglycolate, with a reducing agent, such as hypophosphorous acid. In addition, the polypropylene composition with reheating agent may be derived from a polypropylene masterbatch with high concentrations of reheating agent.

  • Patent number: 7000535
Abstract: A culinary press comprises first and second elongate members (4,6) pivotably connected to each other near a pressing end at a first pivot point (8), the first member (4) at least in part defining a food receiving chamber (9), and with a perforated surface provided against which forced to be crushed is pressed, and a pivotably mounted plunger (30) disposed between the elongate members to be pivotable about a second pivot point (28) into said chamber (9), wherein the plunger is mounted so that the second pivot point (28) is disposed on the opposite side or the first pivot point from the chamber (9), and wherein the second elongate member (6) is formed with an actuating finger (16) which bears on the plunger (30).

  • Patent number: 5939516
Abstract: Modified polyethylene terephthalate polymers, particularly suitable for making carbonated drinks or mineral water bottles by injection (stretch) blow moulding, include a small proportion (from 0.007 to 0.08 mole %) of residues of a polyfunctional hydroxyl compound such as pentaerythritol as a chain branching agent and have (after solid phase polymerisation processing) melt viscosity values of from 300 to 1050 Pa.s (3000 to 10500 Poise) at 295.degree. C. (approximately Intrinsic Viscosity 0.6 to 0.9). The polymers also preferably include from 0.5 to 5 mole % of residues derived from a chain orientation disrupting monomer such as iso-phtalic acid. Best results are obtained in restricted ranges of polymer viscosity, hydroxyl compound and also chain orientation disrupting monomer level. As compared with conventional PET the polymers have the advantage that solid phase polymerisation rates are much improved.
