  • Patent number: 10612782
Abstract: Nozzle for engine has coaxial arrangement of inner pilot and outer mains airblast fuel injectors and intermediate air-swirler passage sandwiched between the outer and inner air-swirler passages of the pilot and mains airblast fuel injectors, respectively. The nozzle has an annular first-splitter wall separating the pilot outer air-swirler passage from the intermediate one. An outer surface profile of the first-splitter wall defines radially inner side of the intermediate air-swirler passage. The nozzle has an annular second-splitter wall separating the intermediate air-swirler passage from mains inner air-swirler passage. An inner surface profile of second-splitter wall defines radially outer side of intermediate air-swirler passage. The outer and inner surface profile of the first and second splitters walls, respectively, have convergent sections facing each other forming convergent portion of the intermediate air-swirler passage.

  • Publication number: 20140360202
Abstract: A fuel injector includes pilot and main fuel injectors. The pilot fuel injector includes at least one pilot air swirler and the main fuel injector includes a main air blast fuel injector located between inner main and outer main air swirlers. A first air splitter is located between the pilot and inner main air swirlers and a second air splitter is located between the pilot and inner main air swirlers. The first air splitter has a downstream portion converging to a downstream end. The second air splitter has a downstream portion diverging to a downstream end. The second air splitter downstream end is downstream of the first air splitter downstream end and the ratio of the distance from the first air splitter downstream end to the second air splitter downstream end to the diameter of the second air splitter downstream end is in the range of 0.22 to 0.30.

  • Patent number: 6945082
Abstract: A key blank, key and master keying system for a twisting tumbler sidebar lock of the type where the sidebar is blocked or unblocked by a selectively positioned longitudinally extending slider, has a key blank with a slider contacting surface on a rib on the blank below the bitting area at one of a plurality of selected predetermined locations. A key with skew cut bittings can be cut on the blank and the blank can be configured with the slider contacting surface at different predetermined locations. The slider contact area on the rib of the key blank can be divided into two horizontal portions at different predetermined locations and the slider itself can have contact surfaces also positioned at different predetermined locations so that a number of different master keying variations are possible.

  • Patent number: 6668183
Abstract: A photoplethysmographic system and method is provided to identify compatible sensors to monitors and/or for determining sensor attributes. The improved system includes a signal generation means for providing an interrogation signal, an identifying means coupled between a first and second sensor terminal operable to produce multiple outputs upon application of the interrogation signal in two modes of operation, and a processor to interpret the outputs. When the interrogation signal is applied to a sensor terminal in a first mode, a first output is obtained. Upon applying the same interrogation signal to the sensor terminal in a second mode, a second output is obtained. The first and second outputs may then be utilized by the processor comprising, for example, a photoplethysmographic monitor to yield enhanced sensor information. The disclosed method may be carried out utilizing the inventive photoplethysmographic system.
