  • Publication number: 20200276213
Abstract: The treatment of Type 2 diabetes involving the use of a regimen comprising: (A) one or more glucose-lowering drugs (G-LDs) which function to lower the amount of glucose in the blood, preferably glyburide and metformin; (B) at least one non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) selected from the group consisting of (1) magnesium salicylate tetrahydrate (hereafter “Mg salicylate”); (2) naproxen; and (3) ibuprofen; and (C) acetaminophen. Also, a regimen for use in deterring the development in an individual of a cardiovascular disease or of Alzheimer's and/or for treating individuals who are affected with such diseases, the regimen comprising aforementioned ingredients (B) and (C) above.

  • Publication number: 20140155349
Abstract: The use of a pharmaceutical regimen to deter in an individual, as the individual ages, the development of a cardiovascular disease (CVD) or Alzheimer's disease or to treat an individual who has CVD or Alzheimer's, the individual ingesting on a daily basis a regimen comprising pharmaceutically effective amounts of magnesium salicylate and naproxen, the amount of the magnesium salicylate being no greater than about 260 mg, and also the use of a pharmaceutical regimen to treat an individual who has Type 2 diabetes, the regimen being ingested daily by the individual and comprising pharmaceutically effective amounts of at least one glucose-lowering drug and magnesium salicylate in an amount no greater than about 260 mg.

  • Patent number: 5253341
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for downloading compressed audio/visual (AV) data and/or graphical/tabular information from a remote Server to an End User Station (EUS) for the purpose of decompressing and/or displaying said downloaded data. The EUS may transmit a query to the Server manually and/or automatically for the purpose of initiating a process in the Server (e.g. data compression, indexing into a very large database, etc.), which requires the high speed processing, large capacity and multi-distributed data storage, etc.) which are typically preferred at a Server. The EUS provides appropriate inverse processing (e.g. data decompression) which, by its nature, requires relatively little processing power to accomplish. Thus, the method of this invention exploits the inherent asymmetry in the overall process of an EUS querying a remote Server (and/or Server Network) for a data service (e.g.

  • Patent number: 5185857
Abstract: A method and apparatus for rapid search and co-display of graphics and tabular data for both local and distributed computer dsystems on a mobile station. The method rapidly selects and displays related graphical and text information via a Graphical User Interface (GUI) from both a Graphical Relational Database (GRDB) and large tabular database. An operator on a mobile station such as a plane or car enters a query where previously encoded and stored graphics elements are selected, via a control program on a host computer located on the mobile system, from a mass storage device and displayed with related text information on a local display. This method provides intelligent selection and display of graphics data based on an analysis by the system as to what graphics elements or images are required to satisfy the operator query, and how these elements are to be displayed in conjunction with related tabular (text) data.

  • Patent number: 4083137
Abstract: A replica of a philatelic display comprising a substantially opaque base and an overlying, transparent cover. Attachment zones simulating philatelic materials are formed upon the base, while appropriate cancellation marks are simulated upon the transparent cover so that they in part overlie the attachment zones. This system presents the impression of a collage of stamps bearing related cancellation marks. The display is completed by attaching the actual stamps to the attachment zones which represent them.
