  • Patent number: 7160551
Abstract: An injectable composition for delivery of a bioactive agent contains a biocompatible solvent, a hydrophobic polymer, and an amphiphilic block copolymer. The hydrophobic polymer may be a biodegradable polymer, and the block copolymer may contain a segment of poly(ethylene oxide).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 9, 2002
Date of Patent: January 9, 2007
Assignee: The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois
Inventors: Anthony J. McHugh, Jessica R. DesNoyer

  • Publication number: 20020106406
Abstract: A mixture containing a bioactive agent and one or more biodegradable polymers for use as a biodegradable implant is described. Different ratios of semi-crystalline to amorphous polymers in the mixture provide for different release profiles of the bioactive agent from the implant. This system allows tailoring of the release profile by control of the composition of the implant.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 8, 2000
    Publication date: August 8, 2002
Inventors: Anthony J. McHugh, Jessica R. DesNoyer
