    Abstract: A coin-operated phonograph in which certain functions are remotely controlled. A transmitter is provided for transmitting a number of modulated carrier signals, including an up volume signal and a down volume signal. The phonograph carries a multi-channel receiver that is adapted for receiving the carrier signals transmitted by the transmitter. A detector is connected to the receiver for detecting the modulated carrier signals. An amplifier with gain control is provided and is controlled in accordance with receipt of the modulated carrier signals. A manually-operable volume control switch is carried by the phonograph and may be used instead of the transmitter to control the gain of the amplifier.

    Abstract: An arcade game in which the housing defines an opening on the front portion of the housing. A sliding panel which carries electronic circuitry is slid into and out of the housing, through the opening, along tracks. The front of the housing has a door for covering the opening, but this door is normally locked and can be unlocked only from inside the housing. To obtain access to unlock the door, the coin box closure on the front of the housing must be unlocked, enabling the operator to extend his hand into the interior of the housing to unlock the door.

    Abstract: A binary coded input signal is converted to a binary coded decimal signal having N decades by employing N four bit shift registers. The bits of the input signal are sequentially supplied, in order, to the least significant position of the register for the units decade, with the most significant bit of the input signal being applied to the units register first. Each of the registers includes a right shift-parallel load mode control input terminal. In response to the sum of the values stored in each register and the binary value 0011 being less than the binary value 1000, the mode control input terminal is activated to shift the register contents one bit to the right. In response to the sum being greater than 1000, the mode control input terminal is activated to load the sum into the register. A binary one is loaded into the least significant bit position of the register for the adjacent higher decade in response to the sum being greater than 1000.

    Abstract: An electronic test circuit is disclosed for pinball type games. A microprocessor is programmed to provide scoring responsive to detecting the actuation of the various switches located on the game surface. A sequencing device controls operation of the microprocessor to perform a test routine whereby the microprocessor will sequentially operate every light, ball ejector and switch position to permit testing of these devices for possible repair or replacement. The sequencing device can cause the microprocessor to continuously cycle through all of the test positions or can cause the microprocessor to single step through each test position and repeat testing of a given position as often as necessary to correct a located defect.
