  • Patent number: 9452852
Abstract: A case sealer includes a frame assembly, a top head assembly coupled to move substantially vertically with respect to the frame assembly, and a sensor associated with the top head assembly for sensing a front face and the presence of a case to be sealed. The case sealer also includes a controller for moving the top head assembly substantially vertically when the sensor senses the front face of the case and for preventing the substantially vertical movement of the top head assembly when the sensor senses the presence of the case.

  • Patent number: 7571588
Abstract: A case sealer assembly comprises frame members which are fabricated from round tubular or rod stock. In this manner, water will tend to readily drain from such structures and not tend to accumulate upon such structures in order to prevent the harboring or growth of bacteria within such regions of the assembly. In addition, the case sealer assembly has knockdown capabilities as a result of comprising a plurality of subassemblies which are readily disassembled from one another in order to facilitate the cleaning of the various subassemblies as well as the overall case sealer assembly, and in addition, to facilitate maintenance or replacement of component parts. Various subassemblies of the case sealer assembly are also reversibly mounted upon the main tube frame subassembly so as to effectively render the case sealer assembly operative in either one of two different directions as may be preferred in accordance with particular manufacturing plant processing lines.

  • Patent number: 6318048
Abstract: A mast and trolley assembly for a case sealer machine includes a set of fixed bearing members mounted upon the trolley assembly, and a set of movably adjustable bearing members mounted upon the trolley assembly such that opposite sides of the trolley assembly will engage the mast member with the proper degree of tension whereby adjustable vertical movements of the trolley assembly along the mast member are smoothly accomplished without any play or chatter. The machine head assembly is also bolted to the trolley assembly such that replacement or exchange of different sized head assemblies are readily, easily, and quickly achieved. A coiled spring mechanism is mounted upon the mast member and operatively attached to the trolley assembly so as to counterbalance the weight of the trolley and head assemblies thereby rendering the vertical adjustments of the head and trolley assemblies along the mast member easy to achieve in a counterbalanced manner.

  • Patent number: 6308495
Abstract: A leveling or elevational positional adjustment system comprises a leg frame member, a leg extension member, and a leg extension stop member. The leg frame member comprises an external corner component having a substantially arcuate configuration, and an internal cross-plate component disposed across the interior of the corner component. The leg extension member has an arcuate cross-sectional configuration essentially matching that of the external corner component of the leg frame member so as to be disposed in surface-to-surface contact with the external corner component of the leg frame member when the leg extension is inserted into the leg frame member, and the leg extension stop member has an external arcuate cross-sectional configuration also substantially matching that of the leg extension member.
