Publication number: 20220127801Abstract: A road taping machine is configured to unspool road marking tape from a spool and tamp that tape onto pavement via a tamping roller. Tape is cut using a blade assembly, and aligned with several alignment rollers. A pivot arm permits a subset of the alignment rollers to displace, allowing slack in the tape to be taken in during cutting such that taping can occur continuously, despite cuts. The spool is housed on an axle anchored to a support arm that can be actuated between an elevated position for loading, and a depressed position for taping. A taping section of the machine is laterally displaceable relative to a drive section via a displacement plate, to permit taping of laterally remote locations. The machine can support multiple spools, including spools with tape paths that bypass the blade assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2020Publication date: April 28, 2022Inventors: Roland M. Bedard, John M. Bryce, Todd B. Hillukka, Dennis Kemmetmueller, August F. Legatt, Joshua Roden, Daniel D. Rohling, Anthony J. Shakal

Publication number: 20180017046Abstract: A box lubricator that includes a pump with a piston housing and piston. The piston housing extends from a first end to a second end, and includes a bore extending through the piston housing from the first end of the piston housing to the second end of the piston housing. The piston housing also includes a recess disposed at the second end of the piston housing, the recess being concentric with the bore and comprising a diameter larger than a diameter of the bore. The piston is disposed inside the bore of the piston housing. At least one elastomeric seal is disposed inside the recess of the piston housing and around the piston. In some embodiments, a ball and socket joint connects the piston to the rocker arm assembly. In some embodiments, a fluid passage and a check valve are disposed inside the piston.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2017Publication date: January 18, 2018Inventor: Anthony J. Shakal

Patent number: 9617114Abstract: A hose reel structure includes an hose spool for coiling hose, a frame which rotatably supports the hose spool, and a guide arm which restricts the angle of approach of hose to the hose spool. The hose spool and guide arm are connected to the frame. At least one of the frame and guide arm are substantially U-shaped structures formed from an L-shaped piece and an I-shaped piece. The L-shaped piece has a first long side at approximately a right angle with a shorter base or front. The I-shaped piece has a second long side and fastener holes for connecting to the shorter base or front.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2011Date of Patent: April 11, 2017Assignee: Graco Minnesota Inc.Inventors: Anthony J. Shakal, John C. Holman
