    Abstract: A cable routing has a body (10) and a plurality of cable passages (22) through the body. Each passage has an entry socket (24) adapted to receive a cable end (20), an exit (26) in line with the entry socket and a lateral opening (28). Each passage also has a cross-sectional reduction between the entry socket (24) and the exit (26) to limit longitudinal movement of a cable (20) along the passage.

    Abstract: A sheathing for optical fibres and for optical fibre cables comprises a continuous length of tubing with the tubing walls being designed to allow the tube to be bent to a predetermined radius but to hinder its bending to a radius smaller than the predetermined radius. The tube walls (12) include portions (18) which are spaced apart when the tube is straight, but abut one another at (20) when the tube is bent to the predetermined radius.

  • Device for use in connecting optical fibre cables

    Abstract: To connect optical fibre cables to a terminal, the cable is provided with an end fitting by which it can be connected to the terminal. The end fitting includes a nut which makes the connection with the terminal. A connection device is fitted over the cable and has a head which fits over the nut, a flexible sheath and a grip portion connected to the head by the sheath so that the head is rotated when the grip portion is turned.
