  • Publication number: 20030120541
Abstract: A method and device for electronically providing electronic media content and advertising content includes a media player and electronic media content from an electronic media content provider. The media player is electronically provided with the electronic media content via a first method of transmission. The media player is also electronically provided with advertising content, from an advertising content provider, via a second method of transmission. • Patent number: 5113440
Abstract: A microprocessor based decoder module for television video signals which have been encoded by suppressing sync pulses and/or inverting picture video. The decoder modules generates sync restoration gates and/or video inversion gates developed from timing signals present in the VBI of the encoded video signal. The VBI timing signals may be either sync pulses which are not suppressed during the VBI, or special timing signals inserted at the video encoder. The microprocessor, in the decoder module, may contain externally selectable program segments where each segment will allow decoding of a different variety of video encoding.

  • Patent number: 4531020
Abstract: A method of controlling the simultaneous broadcast of enciphered digital information signals, for example in a radio or television broadcast environment, to a plurality of subscribers provides several levels of enciphering keys. The broadcast digital information signal is in a broadcast common service enciphering key and communication between the transmitter and subscribers may take place in a box key or in a group enciphering key common to a group of subscribers having a common interest in the reception of broadcast signals of a particular type. Each receiver will decipher the broadcast digital information in a specific service key which is common to that broadcast. The service key may be changed at one or more subscribers by communicating the change in the service key to the subscribers by means of the group enciphering key.
